At STLV in 2012 during the 25th anniversary cast reunion, each actor was asked to describe their character in one word. Burton chose "barrel-roll" (HYPHENS COUNT!) and then did a barrel roll on stage. I think it was hands down the funniest moment of that convention.
So, um, yeah, what's up with the downtime? Some candor would be appreciated. It's okay, you can be brief, I'll even be okay with a two or three-word answer. "Server instability." "Fixing an exploit." "Emergency bugfix for character corruption." "Rebooting the Doff timers."
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.

I've been noticing quite a bit of speculation going on. Lemme clear some things up:
- This maintenance is not to fix the Soul Puppets at the edge of zones and right-click in chat. We are aware of these issues and they will be fixed soon.
-This maintenance is to fix some vital background processes on our end. Gameplay will remain unaffected (except for the whole servers being down right now, that is).
-Our engineers are working to get things up an running as soon as possible...In fact, I believe they just finished.
