See. I don't buy zen for one month and this is what happens!

No, it's because I finally jumped on the Scimitar funbus and they thought I was enjoying it a bit too much.

I'm very surprised I have not seen someone come up with this server excuse yet:

The Angels have the server box. :D

They say there's no such place... as Paradise. Even if you search to the ends of the Earth, there's nothing there. No matter how far you walk, it's always the same road. It just goes on and on. But, in spite of that... Why am I so driven to find it? A voice calls to me... It says, "Search for Paradise."

You sir win the internet for your Geordi reference :)

Get all the women and children into the Saucer section and aim it at a planet, post haste!

At STLV in 2012 during the 25th anniversary cast reunion, each actor was asked to describe their character in one word. Burton chose "barrel-roll" (HYPHENS COUNT!) and then did a barrel roll on stage. I think it was hands down the funniest moment of that convention.

    http://www.treknews.net/2012/08/17/stlv-2012-star-trek-tng-cast-reunion-las-vegas/ (alas, no video)

So, um, yeah, what's up with the downtime? Some candor would be appreciated. It's okay, you can be brief, I'll even be okay with a two or three-word answer. "Server instability." "Fixing an exploit." "Emergency bugfix for character corruption." "Rebooting the Doff timers."

Why would the Angels want the Morris Marina of servers?

This was posted on the NW forums, dunno if it holds true for here but it's the best information atm I could find - Obviously soul puppets etc have nothing to do with STO hehe (Posted about 10 minutes ago)

I've been noticing quite a bit of speculation going on. Lemme clear some things up:
    - This maintenance is not to fix the Soul Puppets at the edge of zones and right-click in chat. We are aware of these issues and they will be fixed soon.
-This maintenance is to fix some vital background processes on our end. Gameplay will remain unaffected (except for the whole servers being down right now, that is).
-Our engineers are working to get things up an running as soon as possible...In fact, I believe they just finished.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Just noticed, the launcher says:
We will be performing shard maintenance on August 26 from 6:00-7:30 PM Pacific time (0100-0230 UTC).
That's an hour and a half. Smirk said 2 hours in post #1. Is that an updated estimate, or did we have conflicting estimates from the start?

So they're not going to fix the soul puppets at the edge of the Eta Eridani Sector Block?

Trip Tucker. Not horrible, but not particularly great. Is just kind of there doing his job. And most fans just kind of forget he ever existed until he's needed.
