Does anyone use these at end game? I mean, I know they don't have a set tier (since they use the "infinite" symbol) and have slow and/or freeze abilities, but their dps is somewhat low when compared to end-game firearms. It's just like the pre-order "classic" phasers, they don't have a set tier either but they become obsolete pretty fast.

"Infinity" weapons are roughly equivalent to a weapon with a mark of your level divided by 5. Thus, at level 50, they're as good as Mk X weapons, and when the expansion releases, they should be equal to Mk XII weapons at level 60. Of course, by then you'll be trying to get Mk XIV weapons, so they'll still be obsolete.

However, while you're leveling up, they're good weapons because they keep pace with what you can equip up until level 45.

I'd use them if I had them. Keep thinking about getting the pistol for one of my characters' Bajoran boff, but that's a lot of zen to drop on a weapon for a boff, and the only other thing in the bundle that really interests me is the bridge.

Whether you can get by with it or not really depends on you and your team. I don't believe for a second you need XII gear for any of the PVE content in this game. I'd probably be hesitant to take the Bajoran weapons into the borg STFs if I didn't know who I'd be playing with, nothing else would phase me though.

BRM? What is that a Bajoran weapon?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I think they mean the CRM 200.

I am referring to both actually, as both weapons have either a stun or freeze ability that can be used to bog opponents down long enough to get off more shots? BTW, knowing what I know now about weapons with the "Infinite" Symbol, does anyone use Transphasic Torps on their endgame ships? Sure, it's "weaker" but it literally launches mines right into the face of your oppponent!

The transphasic torpedo mine launcher is a unique weapon. Normal transphasic torpedoes shoot actual torpedoes, and they suck. The infinity transphasic torpedo mine launcher on the other hand is pretty awesome because mines in the face, especially if you get gear that boosts their damage.

If I use the CRM, it's on a Boff in the Dyson ground zone. They can deal with the freezing and slowing (and they don't care about the annoyingly long charge time on the secondary fire that drives me insane) while I pew pew everything else.

Can't find details of any Transphasic Torpedo Mine Launcher on STOWiki. Where does that come from? Thanks.

    Re: Breen Cluster torp:

I use it on a couple of my toons. It's a great replacement for mines, especially on ENG-heavy cruisers/battlecruisers where you don't want to devote a BOFF slot to a dispersal pattern. It's also better than mines because of the fast travel time. It also can't be shot/targetted until the mines deplay. Overall it's faster, more effective, and more damaging than the average mine. It has a long cooldown, which is why I use it as a mine replacement instead of a primary warhead. Depending on the ship setup, it can be an awesome weapon. If any one crits, the entire salvo crits.

Re: Bajoran pistols and infinite guns:

Generally, no. I do have one character whose backstory and theme revolve around using a special pistol, but it is the Jem'Hadar Polaron Pistol. It was a victory prize taken from the clutches of a dead Alpha Jem'Hadar and my toon used it for a long time. The damage at MkXI was quite respectable, and I recently upgraded it with 50 Lobi to purple MkXII, which brings it nearly up to par with the best weapons in the game. On top of that I use nanocells to boost its output for 5 mintues at a time, helping even more. The only problem is the shorter range that pistols innately have. Its range is 25 meters, and most assault rifles are 30, and sniper/split beams are 35.

I use it whenever I can, but when I honestly just can't, and I need pulsewave+sniper, I switch it out. That doesn't happen too often, since this is an ENG toon with a lot of other offensive abilities as well.

The CRM200 is a good weapon for all KDF and Romulans to carry into the Undine Infiltration mission, it is a nice alternative to put out the fires since they don't have access to the fire extinguisher that Feds can get from the Researcher Rescue mission.

The CRM200 is a terrible weapon, even against Tholians. Its range is too short, its damage too low, the spool-up time on secondary fire is so long you just sit there taking hits... Overall it's a bad weapon.

If you want to do cold damage vs Tholians and still do decent damage, go for the nukara auto rifle variant that's available from the rep projects.
