Diplomacy CXP now becoming Ultra-Rare

ussackermanussackerman Member Posts: 275 Bug Hunter
Been an "Active" player since just after 3rd Anniversary.

I currently am at Tier3 Diplomacy and have concerns with the changes since 9.5 released.

1) As I was lvl50 before the Diplomacy CXP increase to 100 per mission, I only recieied 10 at the time and cannot replay these missions for more.

2) As Exploration clusters are gone, the only replayable mission giving Diplomacy CXP anymore is the Defara Daily Mission.

3) For new players or alts, the Memory Alpha missions that gave CXP are now gone due to destroying the location in the R&D revamp.

3) Diplomacy DOFF missions were scarce to begin with. Now they are the ONLY viable way to move along the Diplomacy track. Aside from the Recruitment track (which I just got to Tier 2 this week), I find this one the hardest to progress.

There are two areas that you can get at least 10 missions every 20 hours in each of the following

    Near DS9 - 10 here and sphere space - 10 here

this gives you 20 missions per 20 hours if you need the xp

Entertain Foreign Dignitaries is best bang for the buck and has a super-short cooldown.

Diplo has always been kind of a pain in the neck, but Recruitment is the fastest and easiest track in the game, as it has basically no prerequisites whatsoever: You don't even need to own any doffs to do it, yet it can be ground to from 0 to 100K in only a few hours.

Here's how you do it, starting from a level 11 character who has just unlocked doffing.

Step 1: Take all your starter junk white doffs, and dump them. You need space, and a bunch of bound white garbage is just staking up that space. Feed them to a base, or just plain airlock them.
Step 2: Load up with up to 33 greens or 12 blues, bought from the Exchange, cheaply, and then degrind them all into whites.
    Step 3: ???
    Step 4: PROFIT!

Repeat the process until you hit 100K.

For diplomacy, visit the 3 Fed sector blocks and the Tau Dewa block and look at your First Officer. You'll see assignments named something like "Audit/Review/Verify Diplomatic Correspondence from [name]" in abundance that will help a lot in leveling your diplomacy.

In the 3 Cardassian sectors you'll see assignments named similar to 'Escort [species] Ambassador to DS9' that are also good sources of diplomacy CXP.

And as mentioned above my post, Entertain Foreign Dignitaries is going to be your friend as well.

OH and investigating reports/rumors of trafficking in contraband in the Fed sectors and Eta Eridani will also net you nice diplomacy xp, especially if you crit.

In addition to that, it's one of the tracks that just comes automatically, since it's part of many of the more rewarding and commonly run doff missions:

asylums, supports, downgrinder, academy recruitment, R&D requisition, officer exchanges etc...
