As the title says.

We need a better mod that can discuss without using the ban hammer. Maybe mr. Bluegeek can't stand a discussion with me. How strange...

Let me say this again, to Cryptic: Give us PVPers a new mod!!!!

I offer myself as the new PvP forum mod, I'll surely be better than Bluegeek, at least I know a thing bout PVP, I know most of the people on the forums and I'm known and I hope respected by most of the PvP community....

You admittedly warp out of matches if you don't like who you're up against. Not only are you not respected by most of the community you're not even a legal adult and shouldn't be allowed to post on here. I can't wait for you to be banned for continuously trying to mess with the mods.

I think the problem is that the outsiders don't understand that at this point for many players "PVP" is more of a community and a group of friends than a gameplay mode.

If someone made a "Bring back Era" thread, it probably would get moved to the "timezones and epochs" subforum because nobody who isn't part of the community understands what Era means in this context.

And they also don't seem to understand that this community is still somewhat intact. The players of old aren't completely gone, most of them can still be reached somehow and would be willing to return if PVP returned to its S1.2 glory. This is a chance, but it gets treated as if it was a threat.

PvP versus the MODs is not allowed by the looks of it.

Hey. I'm new and having fun...I've actually met many of the "better" players. haven't met one I didn't like. Still haven't met yourself or any pandas yet. Haven't even seen virusdancer, let alone played him.

The pvp community is very "give respect where it's earned," better players seem to be always scoping out new talent and wanting them to add more to pvp. A new style cam bring new perspective.

Anyways, hope to see ya mancom. Big fan of the work you've done

Problem is that even a major part of today's community doesn't know about Era or Zorena, Rock, Draco, Yoda and so on. Most people from these days have moved on a long time ago....sadly. The community back then for sure has been a better one as it is today.

I do agree with you on this Hilbert. With how small PvP has always been, we've generally kept to a community-setting, for good and for ill. When most of the playerbase mentions Gorn it is usually a joke. When we older PvPers mention Gorn, we mean one player that used to be here.

That said, I do also agree with some comments DDIS has made recently as well. All these 'RP threads' are getting on my nerves as well. Back and forth banter is all well and good, but it's going too far with this now. If you want to do RP-ish stuff, keep it to Ten Forward. Let's at least keep THIS section of the forums more civil than some of the other.

Its not just him. Besides your age and your warp outs and tantrums in zone you are too confliciting so can't be a mod. Mods have to be someone that can be unbiased.

Right now there is basically 2 active mods reading thousands of posts a day. There is no "pvp mod" or "gen discussion mod" it's us 2 vs 30 some odd forums :P

And honestly no, you wouldn't be a better mod. There are rules that need to be followed. As I stated before, light hearted jabs are one thing example - saying oh you sucked in that match lolz is one thing. Saying you have no right to pvp you're just a stupid TRIBBLE newb is another.

But you guys also can't make entire threads that

are considered spam - and yeah you guys have done that a couple of times and i've seen those threads bluegeek has moderated which I totally agree with him on. It was spam and you're lucky if he didn't smack you with warnings.
Naming and shaming people isn't allowed period. You all know this as even I've smacked you all around about it before :P

Yes, the pvp forums have had latitude in the past but frankly that's obviously not working. Everyone in here lets that go and you push it until we have to come in and slam down hard. I'm sorry but that's just not how it's going to work anymore.

It's plain and simple - follow the rules or don't post. It doesn't matter if a person pvp's or not. If you know the rules, anyone can moderate. Even me :P (granted I pvp but that's moot)

Well said Askray.

Right now he and BlueGeek have my full support in any decisions that they feel are necessary to maintain the TOS and keep anger threads from stewing and becoming pages upon pages of violations.

I know the PvP community wants/needs some new blood and places to spill it, but the Forums are not our newest PvP map, and the mod team is not your opposing faction.

The Banhammer of Damocles is hanging over the heads of anyone who thinks that their stats as a pvper/player justify poking the mods or breaking the rules.

I'd suggest avoiding such thinking.

Hang in their PvP folks, I know your strong and have mighty PvP skills, and we all hope to bring you news of more content in the future.
