prefered sets besides Maco?

lyran2lyran2 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Hello again gang

I've got another question for you all.

After doing my research, many of you tout both the ground and space set from MACO as end game sets to acquire.

I'm curious, with all of the other repuation sets available, plus what's available from fleet (if one has access to fleet stores) has anyone had good results from any of the other sets: space, ground, equipment or weapons? Or good combinations thereof?

Thanks.

Who's been we saying maco for space?

Cc deflector+rom engine+elite res shield for pve

I prefer cc deflector+cc engine with elite fleet resb for my escort in pvp

Never do maco when you can do plasmonic leech

Hell you can do 3p solonaoe foe a decent heal

2p assimilated with elite fleet shield

    Maco space...just no need.

Ground....well...it's ground...anything works, with maco/omega/adapted maco being best for borg
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Who says MACO? Use the Adapted Klingon Honor Guard set ...

I would think this type of faction specific equipment questions might be better off in said faction's topic on forum...

But seriously though, I wouldn't go for MACO as previous gentleman before me posted. Since you guys whined and complained and got one of the few unique consoles that KDF has had to set them apart from cookie-cutter Fed, I would follow his advice.

For space sets I prefer either the Assimilated Space set or teh ADAPTED MACO set.... don't care much for the MACO set. For ground I do like both the MACO and Adapted MACO set.... but personally the Dyson set is my favorite ground set.

MACO Space doesn't even make the Top 5 anymore, so not sure who 'all' has been saying that. Fleet, Aegis, 8472, Dyson, Assimilated, KHG, Nukara, and even the free Solanae sets all outperform it. If it were free it might be worthwhile, but these days the relative performance just doesn't justify the price tag.

For space, I roll the Borg Deflector + Engines and Fleet Shields. For Ground, my entire away team including me rolls the full Dyson Ground set.

Nah, not tears ... just wanting something in this game that it truly lacks:

Equal development of each faction with the things that sets them apart... otherwise, why have factions at all?

I like the Solonae three piece space set. It does give good heals, and is a mission reward set, so no Dilithium wasted. Also, if you can keep your power levels in at least three of your subsystems above 75, then I would throw the AMP warp core with it. It will help get more DPS.

For ground, I just use the M.A.C.O. set for when I fight the Borg.

For ground weapons, when fighting the Borg, I suggest the Antiproton Pulsewave Assault, and the gun from the M.A.C.O. set.

For all other ground combat, I would go with the Antiproton sniper rifle, and for certain situations, the Antiproton minigum. Mostly, I use the Pulsewave, and sniper. When fighting some enemies, the mini is great.

For me in space its 2 piece assimilated with resilient shields.

For ground it is Honor guard 3 piece to get the Adrenal booster. Free hypo and root breaker.

Whole Dyson set seems to work well on my cruiser. But currently using the Undine deflector and engine, fleet warp core and Aegis shield.
