Hello
I had to ask this.
Should I gamble and buy the duty officer packs to get the jem' hadar attack ship or buy a tier 5 c store ship or wait for delta rising in hope for a tier 6 c store ship.
Any good advice is helpful.
The chance of getting a JHAS from the current promotion is low.
If you have the money to spend and nothing else more worthwhile to spend it on, then go nuts. Just remember you could spend $100 on opening packs and not get a single JHAS, while I could buy one pack and get it first go. That's lottery for you.
JHAS has already been confirmed as receiving a free upgrade to T6 level - If you are intent on buying a current T5 ship, it is pretty much the only "safe" option until the details about how T5s will become T6s are released.
Note: A Doff pack costs 275 Zen, and JHAS drop rates are, approximately, like rolling a 100 sided dice and hoping for 1. If you want to use real money, keep in mind you are not guaranteed a ship, and you can spend hundreds, if not thousands of "real currency here" and get no ship.
Also keep in mind it is not the "I win" Escort it used to be, as other ships close in on it.
No worries - at least you had the sense to ask first, most people blow X hundreds of dollars on keys, and then come on here to complain about not getting a ship...
If you really aim for the JHAS, you should buy keys or whatever and sell it for EC on exchange and buy one with the profits.
JHAS isn't even worth the pricetag anymore.
I have to give it to cryptic though that they made an excellent move from a marketing point of view.
First they "leak" that the JHAS is getting a free T6 upgrade and then they start a promotion with the Romulan Survivor pack.
As for the gamble, only purchase the pack if it is the doffs or commodities you want because the chance of a JHAS dropping is very very slim.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

No it was, they started a promotion with the Romulan Survivor packs, almost no sells, people said in formum, we don't buy cause we wait for tier6, then they updated the blog to tell us JHAS is getting a free T6 upgrade.

The age old question: was it the chicken or the egg which came first.
Either way it was planned and thus a shrewd business move.

A lot of people seem to be winning them cause whenever i'm in game those pop up seem to come every couple seconds telling me someone just got a bug ship.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

Yeah, that's called "thousands of people opening thousands of boxes per minute and one or two of them getting lucky". You know that old saying that an infinite number of monkeys banging on typewriters over infinite time would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare? Same basic idea.

Doubt it mean T6...if they meant T6...they would of said upgraded to T6...it probably will just be the comparable T5.75 that we can upgrade our c-store/fleet ships to.
I'm not saying it isn't going to happen, they might do it in desperation to sell more, I would just wait to see what the stats are on the c-store T6 ships before spending anything.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power

They said it will be free, but they dont said how much time you need to grind in new reputation or in a new craft section or in a new fleet holding till you reach the possibility of this free upgrade.

Take it with a grain of salt. There have be plenty of times where cryptic/pwe has gone back on their word and/or later say that they never said that.
