I have been playing STO for a few years now and have been frustrated that I have never gotten past round 6 on NWS. I will admit most of that is my fault probably, though the fact I have mostly ever PUGed it is also a factor. I am asking for a group of NWS veterans to team up with me so I can finally beat it.
PublicNWS can work too. Sometimes you get a TRIBBLE group that tries to hero it and splodes on 7-8, but sometimes you can get a group of pretty professional people too and plow through 10 like its nothing. Not as reliable, but you don't have to put up with 'proving yourself' to a bunch of egos of the locked channels either.
Some big pointers is bioneural war heads take priority. They do huge most damage on the map. Reed the walk through on STOwiki.com. And join a creditable channel like wesleys_protege. Most people in Spocks and Kirks Protege channels watch this channel and will give advice, some of these players not look in NWS or Public NWS. The group from there are hit or miss. If you don't have an escort ready, I suggest looking at the mirror saber escort for the current escort. Also learn south flank. It is the easiest for most players.
You can also PM me in game, I will give you our Mumble Server info to help you with a build and practice runs. We will not carry you, but make you good enough to hold your own flank for your win. @simeion

Wesleys_Protege is a good place to start, most of the times one or more veterans from the "higher" channels (Spocks_Protege, Kirks_Protege) will join. You may ask questions about builds and tactics there, too, helping others is the main reason why those channels exist.
I'd suggest that you read Silverwing's walkthrough on STOWIKI. And I'd recommend using a ship with gravity well and tractor beam repulsors plus aceton assimilator.
Join Wesley's_Protege. I already had Wave 9 running with the Accolade channel gang, Wesley's gave me the win.
Not quite right, two fleetmates from RE and a friend from Kirks. We saw your post on the Accolades channel and decided to help. It was one of if not the closest rounds we ever played, the transport blew up seconds after we managed to kill the last ship. NWS is always fun, but those rounds are the best.

Post your build on stoacademy.com for starters. It's a standard tool we use to share and critique your build.
Second, get to know the basics of how to play NWS. A great starting place is to memorize the incoming wave patterns, and this page by Silverwing has helped me immensely.
Thanks everyone! pointing me to Wesley's_Protege channel really did the trick. also thanks to ddesjardins for "basics of how to play NWS" I had it loaded on to my tablet so it was in front of me the whole time, it really helped. I now No Longer Believe In A No Win Scenario:D thx again.

Once you have these 2 done, we can help.
P.S. here is my build post on sto academy.
