Cannot play

Hello!

I cannot log into the game right now. The launcher won't start. I received a pop up window "Trying to update launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting 5 times." then a new pop up window says "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. ..."

Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice?

    I'd check your fire wall settings, they might have changed especially if anything has been updated.
    Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!

    I'm getting the same thing. http://stostatus.com/ shows that the game server is down but I don't remember any news about it.

    Got similar issue here too. Game launcher has been trying to connect for about 5 mins with no luck.

    I'm in the UK.

    I can confirm; launcher attempts to connect 5 times, then fails.

    No firewall settings changed, and it was working a few minutes ago.

    Ok I'll admit defeat, I cant log on either, I've got friends in North American and they're having the same issues. Well if the servers cashed all I can say is was probably over due.
    Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!

    Just to put a confirmation on that. It's not working through the wonder of Arc. ;)

    Ditto in US-Mountains.

    Get to the Cryptic Screen then locks up and says it can't initialize On-Demand Patching or reach the log-in server.

    And I'm using Raptr to log in.

    Yep, I can confirm it as well - was in playing for a while, hopped off to do some stuff for 15 minutes or so - and when I try to log back in, Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Through launcher directly, or through ARC.

    Oh well, not too hot outside yet - guess I'll head out. :)

    Same again, and I'm in LA.
    My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    i'm ingame, it was patching colony invasion and it sent me a server not responding. at 240 seconds now... stuck in loading

    I take it, STO is still down?
    I'm still getting all of these same errors.
    "Join Date: Jun 2012" Says Cryptic's "new" forum system. I've been here since a week before launch, but SOME stuff just didn't carry over through multiple system changes/updates. :rolleyes:

    I don't suppose that any more voices are needed to show that there's a problem, but.... Yeah, I can't log in either.

    I turned my internet off and back on and I was able to get in. Not sure if I just got lucky or if resetting the internet really did anything.

    Well, I'm here in the american midwest, it's 9:30am, and the servers appear to be down. Do we have an update from PW, or are we all just chasing our tails wondering why the game doesn't work?

    Logging in works for me. Everything seems to be in working order. Now the question is whether or not Cryptic will acknowledge what happened.

    Is this why I can't download the game? I can't figure out how. I've had this account for two years and I still haven't played. I thought I would try again, but I can't find where to download the game.
