Regarding the captains table/exploration. I'd like to request that you add some sortof of interface that questions a captain on what types of missions are his favorite. It could autogenerate these missions using the fully expanded version of the mission generation tool you were using before (without the limitations on the AI it had in the clusters).

The rewards for these missions could be equipment personnel used in the building of fleets. I've thought about it and it's high time we made lifetime members more valuable. By adding this feature to the game you'd make being a lifetime member more valuable and repurpose the captain's table at the same time. It would make having lifetime members essential to any fleet because we'd get these exploration missions and gather resources boosting the building of fleets.

This isn't tied to the captains table right now but I'd like to also suggest that you make a slight change to the dilithium requirements of fleet building. A resource similar to the resource bought for dilithium mines purchased using fleet credits would reduce the cost of direct dilithium to building a fleet, allow for the bleedoff of fleet credit surplus that's plaguing the system (really most of us don't know what to do with the thousands we're sitting on) and it would give a resource to the newly revised captain's table exploration mission system making lifetime members valuable again.

I'd also like to request a transwarp direct to the captain's table as it's really not all that fun to fly around all the other ships to get to that feature right now.

Thanks!

As a Career Officer, I am naturally biased towards these options! :D

And it may actually give me a reason to bother going to the Captain's Table for often...

I think like over 3 years ago when I got LTS I went there once and never went back and odds are even if it was changed I probally still wouldn't go there just because I have to park all my characters in a specific place because of contraband reasons. As well right now I only log in to turn in contraband so really they need to put time somewhere else like maybe the KDF for example instead of this TRIBBLE lol.

What The Captain's Table needs, IMO, is a rescaling and a redesign in general. Let me illustrate what I mean.

    http://www.trekmate.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/The-Captains-Table.jpg

Why do we go to shore facilities in this game? We go to shop for hardware on the exchange, we go to sell off junk loot, visit the Bank, buy bridge officers, train bridge officers, create fleets, buy ships, tailor ships, repair ships.

    1) Create a Transwarp button that leads directly to the Captains Table, and remove the Nebula from Earth and Qo'nos orbit.

    2) Create a door on player Starbases that allows Life Timers and Gold Members with the requisite days played to access the zone.

    3) Scale down the zone to the size of say, a Large ship interior's Engineering room.

The Table is supposed to be a perk for Lifers, a carrot to get them to shell out $300.00 dollars on intangible goods. Make it attractive for us to go there, do our business and then either linger and check out the sights, or depart for more adventure. Put all of those goods and services we need inside the Captains Table, and drastically reduce the surface area that we need to run in order to reach the individual vendors.

Some will say that's not fair, that it's an advantage denied the free players, or the gold members without the days played. Sure it's fair, we shelled out $300.00 to gain access to this zone.

My last piece of advice, don't make it so damn busy with minor minutiae that it lags older computers. Older machines that used to play STO just fine, now have to avoid Earth Space Dock because there is so much going on there that the machines need to keep track of. You guys get to build and play the game on expensive company owned and financed computers. We don't.
