Suggestion: R&D - Confirmation before spending Dilithium

darkness2k#0753 darkness2k Member Posts: 9 Arc User
Good Morning,

Any chance of adding a confirmation dialog to the R&D system before actually consuming dilithium?

Reason: Not being fully awake yet, I did mis-click and instantly waste some Dil :( (wasted as I'm in no hurry to get to the end of any R&D track).

Been suggested quite a few times before...since tribble. no dev response as of yet.

I would suggest turning all dilithium to zen to "save it"
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Agreed, but with large amounts of dil to convert after the Dil weekend on multiple characters, this can be time consuming...

The Confirmation on dil conversion seems ludicrously obvious.

Cryptic, please address this as a red-letter fix.

You are costing your players money.
Please reconsider ARC. Please make it optional, at the least. PLEASE.
It seems the vast majority of your most active players (forum regulars) hate the idea... and while that's a small subset of the playerbase, I think it's an important constituency.
THE PLAYERS DO NOT WANT THIS.

Agreed. It is too easy to spend a LOT of dil with a misclick! I have not yet, thankfully -- had a mistake with a 75 dil "part" but no biggies yet.

confirmations are a waste of time.... just don't make a mistake. Or perhaps better yet if you DO want endless confirmations make them a bulk package option .... where once you opt-in via the options tab... which will ironically have a confirmation you get locked into having confirmations on everything you ever will do in game.... with "Are you sure?" up to twice over for everything including firing each beam-array... "Are you sure!?" wouldn't want to accidentally fire on the gigantic tactical borg cube now would we ;-)?

In all seriousness if you want a confirmation box... then you have to OPT IN after a "Click this in game link to open up the tutorial on how to enable confirmations on doff missions and other things" etc that way those of us who don't want to waste time on this don't have to :-) Win-win for everyone! Previous paragraph was satirical in nature and was meant as a joke :)

[I don't understand which part of your post is serious - are you pro-confirm or anti-confirm? My understanding is that you're anti-confirm.]

So add it as an opt-in in the Options menu then. Spending 17500 Dil on a stray click is happening, veterans and noobs do it equally easily. Confirming a "You sold this on Exchange" emails is sully, this is my-money-is-gone serious.

Did this myself a few days ago, made me mad as I was then short to pickup what I had been looking forward to then. Hopefully this gets some kind of attention before it turns into a 'rage' button over time...

And why do you think the button is so huge?

It's not an oversight, it's a "feature". Players are supposed to accidently click the button to lose dilithium, so they'll have to grind/buy more. Cryptic won't admit it, but think about it next time you're browsing the web without an adblock.

Seriously, the button is bigger than anything in the already oversized Doff UI. I find it hard to believe it wasn't done on purpose.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head if you ask me, make the PAY ME button the biggest while making details small and less obvious... Kinda like most phone games aimed at kids do.

Maybe they will change this in the future but in the mean time they gain from accidental dil speed ups.

Now that I think about it, it's the single biggest button in the entire game as far as I know.
