It's never going to be extremely successful if you got 50 levels of PVE and story and Star Trek and then the endgame is "Now go SHOOT another player", some 14-year old kid who does nothing but min-max all day.
Meanwhile I was discussing, in game to a retired USAF 14 year old min-maxer about getting the warthog hotas - highly recommended by another retired 14 year old min-maxer who primarily plays STO. These 14 year olds, how do they retire so early and can afford so much money to buy things like that for a hobby when all they do is min-max sto?
Meanwhile, I'm checking the 3rd party leaderboard, reminding me of the impressive feats 14 year old min-maxers can achieve when, somehow also managing to minmax all day. I remember all the news items, threads and contributions from bored 14 year old min-maxers that were probably made in good faith and with the hope that the developers would respond to their initiatives instead of, ultimately insult them.
Meanwhile, they continue to release $30-$90 ship bundles on the C-shore. Regardless of the number of 14 year old min-maxers grindin 24 / 7 - you would ultimately require some of those 14 year old min-maxers to actually pay for... I mean, with the kids of today, all that money is pocket change right?
Well, as a 14 year old min-maxer I'm bored of this ****. **** this game.
There is no point in me continuing to grind if the PvP sucks - which it now does. I was primarily a PvPer, but haven't flown a cap and splode in over 3 months.
If Star Citizen is half as good as everyone believes it will be, all that will be left here are the 14 year old min-maxers. Times may have changed, but the older me has a lot more disposable income than the 14 year old me had.

Soooo, he could have posted that a long time ago... And he might have apologized for it.
Or maybe Flakes did that for him? Err...
Tweets bad enough to apologize for generally get deleted. Not that I'm going to hammer a game developer for misogynistic tweets... nope, as a 14 min-maxer who has never seen a girl, tweets like that are heroic. The guy really has his target demographic nailed down.
Didn't he make the 14 year old minmaxer comment earlier this year, and got in **** for it or something? I seem to recall a huge outcry by the community over it, and Bran posted in response to it.
Of course if this is something he said recently, well, as a 14 year old head of internal communications at TheChunk.net, I've gotta say that even though I spend all day minmaxing I still manage to find the time to word my comments less offensively than Geko does.
Funny I'm 28, I'll pwn any dev in PVP. Too bad I'm playing other games at the minute. So Whatever... I see why good players went to other games. It's all good.
No surprise here.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
Aeronautical engineer here too. Damn these engineers are getting younger by the day. What next? 10 year old game devs next? Or are we already there? It's actually really hard to say.
Well this 14(38) year old semi retired(I should likely go make some money during the day soon I guess this min maxing all day is getting boring) min maxer isn't to shocked to hear what geko thinks of us. I guess we should all give our grandmothers back there Credit Cards before we get in trouble.

14(25) working as a Designer and finishing a Masters. I do agree. I used to work previously as a clothing model (male) to put serious cash in the bank.
Guess I should pretend I don't have my credit card either.

His butt still hurts from it.
Although I guess being a 14 year old lawyer is awesome too!
Nothing is impossible to him who would try.... except getting cryptic to care about pvp.

it does make you wonder who is the 14 year old boy.

Seriously, isnt min-maxing what gear/customization based games are all about? Isn't that what ANY competitive endevour is all about?
