Give us back the very rare Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle

Ok i guess i am not the only one who wants the Rommy Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle back.

Has anyone a clue why they took it out of the game?

I just found out that it is missing today, cause i wanted to get a new one.

    Our terrible(ly) (wise) Devs with their infinitely (brilliant) dumb think tanks thought it be best to remove the dilithium exchange without providing us with a new means to obtain the unique romulan plasma ground weapons... I'm crossing my fingers for a resurrection and soon. There's no reason to remove that dilithium sink. It was actually worth it and provided Romulans with a sense of being and culture. BRING.BACK.THE.EXPERIMENTAL.REPUBLIC.WEAPONS!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Personally hoping they add these into the crafting menu. The look of them is awesome, and the chance to have purple versions is too good to pass up.

    So glad I had one sitting in my bank before they discontinued them.

    Seriously though, these weapons look awesome and perform in a unique way. Making them was a step in a great new direction for ground. I wish we'd get more unique weapons and mechanics for the other damage types.

    +1, bring these back, do more with them, give us a Rom Rep ground set with a MK XII one.

    Hawk said he was planning on bringing them back here.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    Forget the totally noob question, but: what special Romulan Rifle are you writing about?
    I've always thought the exclusive romulan weapon was the Plasma Flamethrower from the reputation system...

    There were a few "Romulan Republic" weapons available exclusively in the Dilithium Store (with common versions still available in New Romulus Command). They had different models, and were pretty cool.

    Unfortunately, they are no longer available with the Dilithium Store gone.

    On a personal note, I hope they bring em back. I picked one up right before the 9.5 patch and I'm liking it - even though I'm a Fed captain. :)

    To get a sampler, white Mk I, III, V, VII, and IX versions are available at the EC ground vendor in New Romulus Command.

    Check it out...the piercing beam rifle and repeater pistol in particular are VERY competitive with the best DPS items (at their level) in the game.

    You could likely take a white Mk IX piercer thru an ESTF and not feel really underpowered.

    Purple piercing rifle at mk XI did just fine in fed colony last week, for whatever that data is worth.

    Thanks for the answer, too bad I didn't know before... The basic for playing a Romulan is to always have their exclusive object.

    But the comment is clear: they are coming back, hopefully with some new exciting update exclusively for Romulans!

    While this weapon is/was pretty interesting it should be added that the firing sequence/animation of the piercing plasma beam rifle was messed up.

    Having said that, i hope it is added to either the dilithium store or crafting with a fixed animation.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
