Scimitar help. Cannons or Beams?

Hello peeps

I'm soon going to be putting my rommy tac in a Scimitar. I already know I'm going to Use Romulan Plasma but what do people consider best Beams or Cannons?

Also I's it Vaiable to use A2b with this setup or do I need to go down the expensive root?

    Only the best pilots can use cannons effectively
    And aux2bat is plenty viable

    That said beams do the most dps and a non aux2bat build does the best
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

    Ty for the info. I'll start with beams And an A2b build then and Upgrade as my Skill and cash allow.

    Scim with A2B+FAW is the STO easy mode lol
