Hello Peeps

Does anyone know of any official information on Casualty risks. The type of stuff I am after is:-

Can anything from Low to Extreme kill a doff on disaster?

Can Extreme Kill a doff on just Failure?

Can Green, Blue, Purple Doffs be killed?

What is the chance that Disaster on Low/med/high/Exreme will Injure a doff?

What is the chance that Disaster on Low/med/high/Exreme will Kill a doff?

I know different people seem to have different opinions on this stuff but has anything verified ever been published? If not can we get some info on this please?

It's has always been common doffs that cod be killed in a high casualty risk mission. Green and up only get injured with the rarity playing the role of potential.
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Anything other than your own experiance to back that up?

If your just going by you experience do you regularly put non whites on missions with a high casualty risk where there is a chance of disaster?

I know I've seen threads about purples dying and even had a fleet member tell me it's happened. Though the threads I've seen about it always seem to suggest it might be a glitch. I unfortunatly did't look into it much back when the fleet member told me about it.

I was really hoping Cryptic might have published something that I've missed.

I can back him up. Greens, blues and purples are not intended to die on an assignment that isn't specifically designed to kill them i.e. "execution for incompetence" or "execute mutineers".

As I said, it isn't intentional. I've had it happen in the past, but it's very very very rare that a non white doff dies on an assignment that isn't designed to kill them. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that most of the reported non white kills have been due to people mistakenly slotting non white doffs into assignments that are meant to kill or otherwise get rid of the doffs assigned to it.
And that is a problem that is only going to get worse with the new doff UI.
    I need a beer.

I don't slot Law, Rulian Mazan and other Doffs that can't be replaced (AFAIK) in assignments that have ANY casualty risk because I don't want to lose them.

It would be nice to know officially whether I have a chance of losing a non-common Doff or if they will only be injured at worst.

It's been documented by Cryptic, I believe. It's actually something you used to learn in this game. It's as follows:

RISK should be taken into account, yes, because green, blue, and purple doffs can be laid up for days in sickbay recovering. You can't use them when they're in sickbay, but you do not lose them.

White doffs can be injured as well, but if the critical failure is bad enough they can even die.

The EXCEPTION to the above rule is where a mission specifically removes doff from your roster, like execute mutineer, or kill changling spy, or cardassian officer exchange, and so on, and so forth.

Based on all the Doff missions I have done across 4 toons, I have only lost white Doffs. I have never lost any green, blue or purple quality Doffs. The exception would be executions (KDF).

However, I do mitigate the disaster percentage so that it is generally low. For example, for Fed toon and Fed Aligned Romulan toons do not missions where the chances of disaster is greater than 2%. As for my two KDFs toon, I do not do any missions where the disaster is greater than 5% since the KDF is not squeamish about risk compared to the Federation and Romulan Republic.

As stated, I have lost some white Doffs, but that was before I implemented the above stated policy towards the end of Feb 2014. My recently created (May / June) Romulan Science toon and KDF Engineering toon have not suffered any Doff losses.

I do an extensive amount of Doff missions. So I tend to have a lot of Doffs:

Fed Engineer - Almost 400 Doffs
KDF Tactical - Almost 300 Doffs
Romulan Science - Almost 200 Doffs
    KDF Engineer - 100 Doffs
