We need a general uniform

The Rom faction already has a generic uniform, but it can't be worn by BOFFS from either the Feds or the KDF.

To cut a long story short, a perfectionist like me likes everything to be prim and proper, and we either need the Republic uniform to be made available for any faction BOFFS, or just a new uniform entirely that every NPC in the Rom faction can wear, regardless of allegiance.

That's because Allied Boffs are a sort of exchange program - they don't become Rom Republic Officers, just serving on a Republic vessel.

I like the idea a lot, but seeing as how the KDF barely has any uniform options and we're not even a full faction....

It's the same reason why we don't get Starfleet uniforms if we ally with them, we aren't joining Starfleet, we're just a ally of them. They're not joining the Republic, they're just assisting a ally.

If it bothers you then just don't commission them, I never do...

My ROM Tactical Officer is part of the Federation and also has StarShip he can go to the SOL/ESD do pretty much everthing. KDF Tactical Officer is limited and can't go to the SOL/ESD. He sports the newest uniform in 9.5. ROM side really needs something new though.

Okay then, how about getting the ally-specific uniforms to be worn? So for example both my Romulan Captain and my Human Bridge officer could wear the Republic/Federation uniform (as it contains elements of both factions). Same could go for the KDF Boffs?

I personally have no problem with my Orion, Klingon, Jem'Hadar, Breen, etc BOffs wearing non-Romulan uniforms.

    HOWEVER, ...

When making fleet uniforms, we are very severely limited as to what we have to work with, to the point that we cannot even use KDF Romulan uniforms because not everybody can get them. But yeah, any Romulan/Reman in my fleet would be able to get them, because we are a KDF-allied Romulan fleet, and in order to join, you have to be either KDF or KDF-allied RRF, so it makes little sense to prohibit use of KDF-Romulan uniforms from being used for fleet uniforms in a KDF-allied Romulan fleet ...

We do need some kind of general uniform that is more than a basic shirt and pants/skirt, if only to allow fleet leaders to create specific uniforms for our fleets.
