Question About Exploration Cruiser Customization

Hello all, I'm hoping someone can answer a question I have regarding the Galaxy-class Exploration Cruiser. I want to know if it is possible to outfit her with the outboard warp nacelles from the Galaxy-X Dreadnought to make her resemble the USS Venture as seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Below is a link to a screenshot of the Venture from the episode "Way of the Warrior" to illustrate the configuration I hope to emulate. Any input on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    No it's not possible, sadly.

But it would have been awesome if the G -X would look like this, without the third nacelle (which cannot be removed  )
"...'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured...the first thought forbidden...the first freedom denied--chains us all irrevocably.' ... The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged. I fear that today--" - (TNG) Picard, quoting Judge Aaron Satie

That's a shame that we can't do that. Perhaps whoever wins the contest to go to the convention in Las Vegas this September could suggest that to any of the STO staff they run into there.

Likely because the USS Venture in STO is the lead ship of a new class named in honor of the Galaxy-class starship that distinguished herself in the Dominion War.

yup but it ignores what made that ship stand out from other galaxays. She was the first with the Phaser strips on the nacelles. the model in sto should have them as well.

I think that was because they took the 4-foot Galaxy model and added the extra parts for "All Good Things..." to include the strips you are talking about. When they refurbished the model for the episode "Way of the Warrior", they removed the third nacelle, and the pods flanking the bridge, but forgot to remove the phaser strips on the nacelles. While not much of a difference, I do agree that that little detail could be a little detail that fanatics as ourselves take notice. I do also agree that we should have the option for the Galaxy-X bonus parts (except the third nacelle) on the Galaxy-R.

I quite agree with you. If they can upgrade the Galaxy-X to have saucer separation and a hangar bay, then it should be no problem to add a cosmetic option to upgrade the normal Galaxy's warp nacelles. It should be even easier for those who have the Galaxy-X Dreadnought and any version of the Galaxy-class Exploration Cruiser (such as those who purchased the recently released Galaxy bundle, for example).

.. or the other way round.
I like the thought of the (DS9) venture being the first step towards the G -X. So i think it would be nice to have the option to make the G-X look like the (DS9) venture Galaxy.
