Login Servers issues

Seem the login servers are failing. I got in and could not switch toons. Had to close out and go back in. Tried again and failed. Now unable to get past the login server screen. Looks like the servers may need a reboot.

    Same happened to me earlier this morning.

    Took forever to bring up my chars, and then once I select it just sits there until it throws me out..
    Fed: Eng Lib Borg (Five) Tac Andorian (Shen) Sci Alien/Klingon (Maelrock) KDF:Tac Romulan KDF (Sasha) Tac Klingon (K'dopis)

    Been an off and on thing for me today. Works fine. Doesn't work. Works fine. Doesn't work. Mostly fine...but the not fine is getting old.

    Gets into the closing, letting it see there's nothing to patch, and starting the client again....meh.

    it works fine long as i dont switch chars then its is there a login server.... nope dont think so but let me think about it for 2mins... nope back to the login with you try again later :P

    Same here I can't login to servers

    work on, work off, work on, work off... some one have a solution?

    Heh, now it's starting to disconnect me. It really wants to check if it needs to be patched.

    edit: Just to clarify overall...

    Can switch toons without problems.
    Every now and again, switching toons will cause a login timeout.
    Starting to get disconnected without trying to switch toons.

    I will send a bug report about this (maybe others should send too), it is possible, that the solution will come with the server maintenance on Thursday.

    Just got booted second time in 20 minutes now while changing chars. I'm hung on connecting to the login server.

    And even the main page doesn't load for me.

    The got some networking problems, it seems.

    EDIT: And this shows consistently red for about half an hour, despite me being in a couple mins ago.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Its making it a pane in the but to work on mutable toon's right now. I've missed 2 power board races now and part of horga'hn hunt cause I can't switch characters in a timely manner now. :(

    Yeah, I lost 150 favors of the Horga'hn hunt. It's getting very annoying to sit half the time looking at 'connecting to login server' instead of playing.

    Same thing happening to me :( seems about 1/3 times i want to change characters, i have to restart game :mad:

    Is the Arc site (via browser) tossing a blank/500 at folks as well, by any chance?

    They seem to have some problems, the STO main page is inaccessible for me since ~20 minutes.

    OMG... someone deleted the interweb!

    If it wasnt for the 24hr pet raise cycle I wouldnt care as much but some alts needed mark stockpile so i wont every have to run the undine qued missions again ugghhh.

    guess we keep trying till it auto resolves or we cant take it anymore :P


    edit: maybe someone needs to give the login hamster some expresso shots

    It's basically every 2nd-3rd attempt to log in that ends up timed out. It's incredibly frustrating and makes those changing chars lose revenue.

    Captainsmirk, have you noticed? Someone needs to switch (one of) the login server off/on.

    Having the same issue right now, was able to log in, went to change chars, got DCed. Now I can't get past connecting to log in server.

    Same issue here.... already sent a tweet about it, but you seem to be more interested in new stuff coming to the game than actually fixing problems :mad:

    It was working earlier today but now I cant login to any of my characters.:(

    LOL yeah having same problem and can only post thru arc lol.

    Yeah website thru chrome is awfully broken too. Guess its time to start getting into GW2 again lol.

    Edit: One thing though seems to be a workaround even though customers/players shouldnt be having to find workarounds lol. Make sure when you click on a character to wait for it to bring up the one you clicked on and click play instead of double clicking and it seems to not cause the problem after turning in contraband of 20+ characters seems to work that way.

    That's not much of a workaround as it times out before even getting the character list.
