So I decided to dive in the deep end and try and craft, despite the fact that I know I will run out of crafting materials and have found no easy way to get more.
So I decided to try to craft a personal shield. I chose MK XII knowing it was a leap into the deep end and I would not have the prereqs or XP to merit a great success rate.
1. Bug: I crafted the first component, Particle Field Generator (Common) and its sitting there in my R&D inventory, yet it doesn't show as "lit" in the list of required items at the bottom of the MK XII personal shield crafting interface. The next three items do "light up" properly. So in theory I will not be able to craft this item even though I have one of the components in inventory because it does not "register"...can't get that far to try it for other reasons...
2. Question: The 5th item, the "Rerouting Lattice" (rare) - where do I eventually craft this and how do I know where to find out where to eventually craft this so I know to work towards it?
3. I know this interface isn't finished, and I assume the devs already know that it would be great if one or more of the following were implemented (or something similar to solve the same problem.)
- Click on the component in the list of "cost" to be taken to THAT crafting "window".
(Then ideally be taken back to THIS window when done with that component.)
- hover over the component to see how it is crafted.
- Be able to craft those components one by one right from this screen...
...Or something like that...
(And yes, I have done this type of programming and it can be tricky enough even with powerful tools that I too would wait until the functionality of the crafting is tested, but I wanted to get this feedback in now so the devs could add my feedback into any discussions/decisions they might make about this.)

2: Rerouting Lattice is a level 5 item you can see it by checking the box in the upper right hand corner "Show High Level" screenshot
I like the ideas of clicking the component and being able to go to its crafting page or even crafting it right there if you need it.
1. Oops, didn't notice the number, my problem entirely. That's what I get for rushing and not wearing my glasses.
2. Aha - Thanks!
3. I think it would sure make the interface faster and really look and feel slick, like Star Trek Tech should be.
