Is the proc not working on this? Ive had it for a week now and I've not seen the proc hit once. Unless there's not an icon for enemy vessels?

The more appropriate question would be, "What isn't the color of the beams?"

    They're literal rainbow beams.

Every time I fire that weapon I shout "Care bears, STARE!!!!"

Honestly, I only run it on my Mobius, and things die too fast for me to see if it procced or not...

    Its just luck i guess.

On a side note, i just did a fluidic antiproton beam build for my karfi 4 days ago, and still i didnt notice the push-back proc of the fluidic weapons. I sarted to wonder if it works, seriously.

So i will have patience. The proc on weapons can be triggered a lot or almost never, thats the reason some weapons are more useless than others. And thats the reason some weapons can be great or the opposite (for example Antiproton).

I don't have fluidic AP yet, but in PvP vs. a fleetmate who does have them I was pushed around some, so I would say they are at least somewhat working.

Rainbow beams ftw. I was bored so thought why the hell not.

I use it on my avenger because of reasons.

Thats the problem. Sometimes we are so bored playing STO that we need to buy weird things. The problem is, those weird things are not cheap and cryptic plays with us about this. The chroniton dual beam bank is a lobi item, so dont expect it to be good. That for a start. with the exception of a couple of consoles and a couple of weapons (like the elachi ones, for example), lobi items are TRIBBLE. It cost me a year to realize that. Since then i NEVER buy any lobi item. Wit the exception of the takyokinetic converter and things like that.

My ultimate dream would be if Cryptic added single chroniton beam arrays to the dilithium store if you purchased the 3-piece temporal warfare set. Price it at 60000 dilithium each, I don't even care; If I could go full 8x rainbow beams I could die happy.

Shucks, Cryptic could even make it 100 lobi per beam plus have a restriction requiring both the Temporal Sci Vessel and the Temporal Destroyer and maybe even the Temporal Shuttle and I would still cough up the dough for it.

I would deck my Mobius out in all rainbow if they let me, as well.

    More Rainbows Nao!

hmm Ive been using the temporal warfare set for years now, always see the pink/purple difference from the rest of my AP beams, however I am unable to detect a proc or debuff to enemies. since Im using the Wells and massive gravity wells and control (tractor beam as well) who knows if its working, Im too dominant to care ROFL seriously nice set but it would be nice to know whats going on with these.. (also the torpedo doesnt seem to do anything much)

The torpedo is better then a tricobalt. It recharges more quickly for similar damage.

It does suffer from heavy torpedo randomness, tho. They are slow. They can be shot down. Things die before they land and then warp core breach them before they find another target...

I've had runs where my TS3 temporal torp was the most damaging attack of the run. It is rare, however.

Most of the time I just stick it on the back to complete my 3 set...

Good points (I did the same placement for set use) my biggest complaint: it "misfires" more than fires.. it shows ready I add spread or heavy turn around and it goes to cooldown.. CD resets and it fires (sometimes or goes to CD again) wtf...

Yeah I got my Charal Ranbow with Green,Orange and Blue phasers. I didn't know the Chroniton was rainbow. hmm...

Been thinking of going with a beam phaser build just because of the colors. lol

I find that happens to me with most (all?) heavy torpedoes.

My best guess is that the cooldown gets set when you trigger the weapon, but later in the chain they do a range/arc check and if the target is not in range the torpedo does not fire. But with the amount of bugs it really is hard to guess what is happening.

It happens all the time with regular torps as well. It is a known bug that cryptic still didnt fix since eons ago.

Hell, it happens to me all the time with my transphasic build. Im tired of using skills that go into cooldown without firing any torp at all.

But as you said, we reached a point that its almost impossible to determine what is working as intended and what is not. So many bugs that makes you play in a way "i just keep pressing the fire button and using some healing skills and thats it, eventually i will destroy my target..".

Way back when, I simply bought the Chroniton Dual Beam Bank for the cool sound it makes. :P No, really. It behaves like a purple Mk XI wep, and you get nothing from the 2nd set proc (enhanced chroniton dmg? yawn).

It's just a cute gimmicky wep. And I consider the sound its 'proc.' ;)

I have one on an alt's S'golth AP build. When I was doing Skirmish for lobi the last lobi event I hit a JHAS with it and the target definately ate the maneuvering penalties. It works, but often times targets disintegrate too fast for people to really notice it.

My next project is outfitting my fleet excelsior with retro phaser beams and fleet consoles. Should be a laugh till I think of something else to try. Plus I don't see retro beams at all these days.

That is what i felt about tetryon weapons, and one of the tiny reasons i bought the long range cannon and the whole set.. i only wanted em for the sound they make lol. Unfortunately, even with that, i needed to replace em cuz tetryon weapons are useless xD. But the sound is lovely...
