Question about the STO WIki, (Aegis related.)

My question is, is there an online tutorial that shows us how to edit information there, and would I be stepping on any toes, If I can figure out how exactly, if I made an edit to the notes regarding the Aegis set?

I got my first crafter up high enough today, for the Aegis set, and made the shield, thinking I would pass it down to one of my low level alts, being that the wiki says it would level with your toon.

Sadly, that was not the case, but hey, no problem, live and learn. You have to be a rear admiral to equip it. However, I'd like to update the notes, so others won't make the mistake I made.

The Wiki states " Unlike most items in game, the Aegis Technological Research items do not have a Mark number, but instead level with the player. Though the skill bonuses are fixed, the capacity and regeneration rate of the Aegis Covariant Shield Array vary depending on the players current rank and grade, meaning that a direct comparison to items with a mark number cannot strictly be made."

Never done anything with a wiki site before, and I know Some may get upset if I go trouncing around in their back yard. On the other hand, I know how difficult it must be to keep such a site of good info, updated.

Thanks for the feedback all.

You can always edit stowiki articles, ideally after You registered. There are users who are able to recreate the article if something bad happened to it.

Thanks so much for the reply. IT's getting late here (Early ? ) so I may take a look at it tomorrow after I register and such.

Also, at the top right of each page are three buttons; View, Edit, and History. Clicking the history button allows you to see changes made and who made them on that page. You can contact the person who has made previous changes for more information and advice on altering the Wiki.

You need to be a Rear Admiral, Lower Half to use it, which is level 40. It scales between level 40 and level 50.
