Unable to buy Floater & Powerboard

Can't seem to make purchases of the Floater and Powerboard and I do have enough Loth-favors. I even beamed out and in and still the same. On my Federation Faction.

Do you physically have them in your character's bank and not the account bank?

I've been able to rent for $1000 EC prior to get the 40 Pearl. So I have enough Loth-Favors to get both, but I just had check again and I am not able to make the purchases at all. No nothing attached no where all rentals prior goes away.

Has anyone had this trouble too today? Yesterday Romulan I use was able to purchase both. So is this limited to one faction only?

Can't buy anything with the Loth favors. I doing everything on foot on Fed side. Any help to why I can't use the favors to buy the powerboard or floater? Tried selecting black floater $50 the amount I have in my inventory doesn't match the one displayed in the store it off by 1 favor that's odd. I had collect a few more running around on foot. I'll keep trying to see if anything changes.

i had this problem on my klingon, here's what happened.

my inventory had been full when i first did my "castle in the sand" TRIBBLE, and therefore my favors went into my overflow bag.

my overflow bag also happened to be glitched, so i couldnt open it. someone in the bug forum suggested i reboot my entire client. (go back to launcher basically).
upon relogging in, i could pull my favors out of my overflow bag, and buy stuff.

the reason for this bug is quite simple. the game is trying to take away your favors in the order of which the inventory sorts them. while not in your main inventory, any favors in your overflow bag i believe get counted as being higher on the 'take-away' chain. since your overflow bag is glitched, the game is unable to access it. therefore, nothing can be removed.

restarting the client allows the server and the client to resync in a way. without looking at the code, i have no way of knowing why a full relaunch of client is necessary and a simple logout/login doesnt work. however its the simplest way to fix this glitch.

try restarting your client from scratch, and be sure to use the launcher (some people just launch straight with the gameclient.exe, but that's not always a good idea). once you've logged into the character, check at the bottom of your inventory for a button called "overflow". its right above where the sort button usually is if that helps any. take out any favors in your bag, and try buying again.

Wow I didn't even notice the overflow was there. I had one Loth Favor in there. So I move it back to larger one now. I hope this works! Thanks I'll try what you had suggested to reboot the client. So don't run ARC or run the ARC still which I guess has to be used now. I'll report back soon!

Thanks a bunch! The Overflow bag was the issue. I didn't have my inventory full either! so I don't see how this happen. I didn't reset the client though. So 1 Loth-favor was hiding from me! LOL. Now if I can only get my KDF faction to show his floater! Turn it on and it's invisible (no jet sound either) like he's SuperKDF! Figure out what causing that issue.

good to hear that worked! and yeah, i dont use arc either. its a horrible piece of code. i designed more reliable programs in my first year of programming. granted, a basic web browser is pretty easy, on the other hand arc has no features of use, and its shameful that they wasted money on it.

back on topic...

yeah, KDF have a weird bug with the floater. oh well, it suits my kitty character. he's supposed to be an 4th dimensional creature anyway, so floating around fits him. still, i imagine it has something to do with the tailor bus KDF has

i hope this helps

My guess is that the server has a temporary memory for remembering account specific information. By completely exiting the program and re-entering it, it clear the memory. Sort of like how doing a reboot clears the RAM memory which is where a majority of bugs occur.

I am programmer too but the ARC is integrated with STO now. I can't even launch the game without the ARC loaded. MY OS System is beef-up so it's 100% ready for the game play but keep it cleaned daily boosted (disabling services/processes that are not needed to run in the background)

But to the topic thanks for the info on the KDF side, so I'll have to live with the bug issue. I didn't use the tailor on KDF side mostly it was on the Risa side. I waiting for the KDF bird egg to hatch. I hope the two KDF DOF don't fight again.

All Risa is missing is some dune buggies so we could drive around the island like we do with the powerboards.
