So hello. I am close to buying fleet avenger and i need a couple of answers
)... so here it is
- i plan to use 7 beam arrays and torpedo launcher.. is it good or is it better to simply go with 8 beams...
- reagarding on beam type. i plan on using either romulan plasma or fleet antiproton.. youre thoughts...
and on tactical slots i will use torpedo spread 1, beta 2, Faw 3... and tactical team on ensign slot...Everyting else i know.. these are my dilemas

Your Ramming Speed III deals 242658 (243540) Kinetic Damage (Critical) to you.
Although the kenetic beam is nearly the same as having a turret, it goes with the assimilated module to provide omega weapon amplifier, which you'll find help boost damage a bit.
Now, if you are well specc'd into projectile weapons, then use a torpedo.
Personally, both Romulan Plasma and Antiproton do very good. With either set, grab a couple of threat consoles that add plasma damage too.

Fun I suppose...
Things could get stupid with the romulan 1k vet ship, the 3p hirogen super sniper, the romulan hyperflux and a beam overload three...
Sounds just...ya...

Wow, no Obelisk Subspace Rift Warp Core? Thats tough...
Well, if he can maintain 75 in 3 systems it balances out because AMP affects all weapons. Also, he is an engineer, he should be swimming in power. I'm curious on his DoFF layout, since it's not A2B.
Theres a difference because the 9,9% from AMP is a strength boost and 10% from Obelisk set is a bonus boost. And I doubt that boosting the torp and the experimental weapon that isn`t used to often being it in the back could be as near as efficient for dps than putting a obelisk warp core.
I can understand though that some people prefer to set up their ships they way they feel the most comfortable not for maximum effectives.
