Does anyone else feel like...

They should have released a new Romulan ship for the 1 year anniversary? It just feels like Cryptic doesn't care anymore. I wonder if they really are working on STO 2, thus the content we are getting now is the "well we had a good run" content.

    What makes you think the LoR anniversary is any big deal? The game anniversary, yes. An Expansion Pack anniversary, no way.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I don't think they'd be working on an entire second expansion pack if the game was due to be replaced by a sequel at any moment.

    Why would they be celebrating the anniversary of an expansion pack? Has Blizzard ever celebrated the anniversaries of Burning Crusade? Or Lich King?

    Or Cataclysm, or Pandaria. And we will not even go into LotRO's Expansion Packs. :)

    Just like they confirmed there were no plans to go F2P a week or so before it was leaked?

    It was confirmed by Smirk that they are working on a new Romulan ship that is supposed to be released during this season. When I heard about the Romulan anniversary event I really thought they would release the ship at the same time. It's gonna be a non-hybrid science Warbird for sure. ;)

    Having a mark boost is good enough for this. And I like it, as it will cut out my grinding time. To get my full on Romulan gear. I'm sure many others will benefit as well. As most don't do the Nukura or Omega ones due to there is nothing there.

    Eh, it would have been cool if they had the time to squeeze in a new ship to celebrate, but I don't feel that it would be necessary.

    Actually no, I wasn't expecting nor that I think the LoR anniversary would have been an opportunity for a new Romulan ship. It's the anniversary for the launch of the expansion, not a) a significant event in Romulan lore or b) introduction of a new Romulan mechanic or c) forerunner up to a series of FE about the Romulans (which was what LoR was about and so we got the ships for that already).
    Member since November 2009... I think.

    I made a bit of a list of a few small things that, I think, they could have included one, or all of, in the "Anniversary" Event for LoR ... Alas seems not many others agree, and obviously Cryptic didn't either ...
