So now that Klinks can come into queus with fed and that the war is over can we please have mixed klink and fed teams for pvp (maybe even some pve). If you want make it depended on diplomacy and maurader that would even be ok. But I think it would boost klink playability if we were able to team up with fed characters and vicersa.

Nothing is impossible to him who would try.... except getting cryptic to care about pvp.
Seeing as how almost all PvE content is mixed teams already (via random queue), teaming up cross-faction should be a no-brainer by now, (with the "end of the war"), for everything but those few faction-specific events.

For everything that happens after the end of the war, sure...but it couldn't take place for things that happen before the end of the war...since the war wouldn't have ended yet.

Well, you could call it a simulation. Since the Undine are so strong it would make sense to get as much joint combat practice as you could.

The reason crossfaction teaming doesn't exist outside of specific instances is because it causes certain other team-related content to wig out in often amusing and unexpected ways, and apparently fixing this would be too much work.

Oh, I get it for the PvP queues and so forth...but it would be temporally problematic for things like Ker'rat.
So, imho, basically if something allows for mixed teams - why not allow for mixed premade teams...but if it doesn't allow for mixed teams, well then there wouldn't be mixed premade teams since there wouldn't be mixed teams anyway.
There isn't actually anything which forbids premade mixed teams outright...other than the fact that you can't normally form such a team. It's definitely POSSIBLE, I've done it before, but the thing is, mixed teams can break other things in the game, which is why Romulans are a fraction, and cannot team up with other Romulans who chose a different ally to do Romulan-specific content, despite what was originally promised.
One of the devs was on the PVP channel the other night and we had a long discussion about this. Essentially, having mixed queues is much easier than having mixed teams- with the new queues there's a specific addition to the code to allow mixed teams, and the queues are isolated from pre-existing mission content, so being on the same team doesn't cause any problems.
Similarly all the endgame STF/new content pve has been designed as one-size-fits-all, with enemies that are universally hostile.
However pre-endgame content and pretty much every other mission in the game is not designed the same way. Rather, enemies are flagged hostile based on faction. This means that a cross faction team running fed content would see various enemies being allied with the klingon playing the mission which would cause all sorts of issues.
Fixing this to allow for cross faction teaming would require Cryptic to go through and republish literally every single mission in the game, to say nothing of changing how the foundry works and flags enemies, and then having to republish literally every foundry mission in existence to account for the new updates.
There is no 'easy' way to do this, and there's no easy way to make cross faction teams 'only for pvp'.
There is a potentially simple solution to future proof for this sort of thing, but it would still require going back and updating and republishing all prior missions. So I guess the question is really how many months do you want Cryptic to spend on this?

To be honest I don't really care for pve that much. It would be nice but I'm more interested about pvp. There many of us in the pvp community that would like to play with our klink characters as well as with our fed friends. And there really isn't much reason not to do it now.

There must be some way to get mixed teams for PvP outside of private matches.
Just sounds like the Devs have no desire to do so.
For me endgame and grinding are all about being able to perform in PvP.
I recently leveled a new Klingon character and with all MkVII equipment and no rep in the free Vorcha I was doing 6k DPS in ESTFs. And that was with an all canon build with 1 copy of CRF1 and no doffs.
What's the point of grinding more when I have everything I need already to do all endgame PvE?
The answer for me is PvP.
I know many people who regularly pvp that have klinks characters they barely touch. Mixed teams, at the very least for pvp, would greatly change this.

This. A thousand times this. They should let pve'ers and rp'ers have their corner and pvpers have the other. But cross faction teaming should be next. At the very least make it a diplomacy unlock so people have to at least work for it.
As I said before, it's not impossible, but it would take a lot of work. There's a couple ways to expedite the process and future proof, but they'd still take a lot of work and testing to implement, which isn't just a 'weekend job' so to speak, so there's stuff that's higher priority, and honestly will almost always be stuff with higher priority.
But I haven't received any word back on any tickets a I've submitted in over a year. I just don't care anymore and even if there are some nice ships and equipment I'm not buying anymore Zen.
I mean, they clearly can block some things off. They made it so if you are in a 5 man team the one-two man queue does not show so why not allow us to team up only for pvp.
At this point there is really no reason to.
