I bought the Romulan Engineering Kit Mk XII from the Fleet Embassy, and it came with a Beam Turret XII module which is for Burst Turret Fabrication IV. I also purchased a Beam Turret Mk XII from the Fleet Embassy which is for Flamethrower Turret Fabrication V. The frame though will only allow one of these to be equipped at once. Is this a bug or are we only allowed to have one of a module type (in this case Beam Turret Mk XII) equipped at once?

Also where can I find a Seeker Drone Fabrication Mk XII and Forcefield Dome Mk XII module?

Seems to be by design...despite there being no warning anywhere SAYING that it's by design.

Then again I've heard that the Undine Turret you can get via reputation DOES stack with another standard turret, so...

I know there's a Seeker Drone in the Romulan Embassy Fleet Kit (I think). Forceshield...I think is in the Romulan one too.

Hmm , there is a rep turret module for Undine? The only modules I can see for engineering from the Undine rep is the Nanite Generator at T3. Unless you mean the Biotech Turret, that comes from the Undine lockbox I think, it's on the exchange for around 4 mil

I was hoping it wasn't by design..seems silly to as you can have boffs with the same ability just different levels. Perhaps its just a bug for the time being?

The only module that came equiped on the Romulan Fleet Kit was the Burst Turret IV one, no seeker drone or forcefield dome. Maybe those modules come when you turn in the old fleet kit for the new ones? I bought the kit after S9 launched.

I don't have the Mk XII version of this kit(the romulan one that is ) but I was able to combine the romulan flame thrower Mk X and the Undine anti proton turret Mk XII onto the counter command frame and it worked and was able to deploy both out onto the battlefield. I recommend using that kit frame instead and see how it works for you.

That's a nice setup there! All bases seem covered. Myself I wanna go for an army of one kinda thing, and have as many turrets, mortars, and gens up as I can. (How do the buffs from combat supply compare to gens tho? Last time i used combat supply it was the limited time hypo format, and I didn't like it..when did this change occur?

There's a bit of a bug here, in that the Frame that you purchased should not have had a module in it at all. Error in player favor, at least. :)

It's true that you can't equip different ranks of Turret Fabrication Modules, or different ranks of any other single type of module for that matter.

With regards to Seeker Drone Fabrication Mk XII and Forcefield Dome Mk XII, fighting high level ground critters on Elite are your best bet to generate these drops. If you are content with Mk XI modules, you can get class-relevant modules from replaying "Assimilation", one of the Borg missions that was overhauled with Season 9.

Are you sure about that Jeff? I haven't seen a single mk XII module of the traditional kit powers (of any quality level) available on the exchange since S9 launched (just the new lockbox modules) and nobody I've talked to has either.

With nearly the entirety of the STO population having the possibility of getting these drops from fighting those critters I would think there would be at least a few on the exchange by now (for ludicrous prices of course, but at least visible in a search). Or are these drops even rarer than the old borg prototype tech drops and the JHAS combined? (Because I find it unlikely that the min/maxers would have bought all of the overpriced ones if they were even moderately rare drops.) It makes me feel that they were accidentally omitted from the loot drop tables.

I strongly suspect that either most Mk XII modules are not dropping or the Exchange is not showing them. I just went through the entire list of regular kit abilities and searched the Exchange for Mk XI and Mk XII versions of each. While I could find plenty of Mk XI modules of all types, the only Mk XII modules that I could find, besides lockbox modules, were white "Biofilter Sweep Mk XII". I think there is a bug somewhere.

    Same.

I've not seen any standard Mk XII modules drop from many dozens of ground missions and battlezone instances, and I've managed to weed out a few possible exchange display bugs... the ONLY ones listed are the special dropbox ones. Either they're ridiculously rare and unsellable or they're just not dropping anywhere.

(There's a longstanding issue with Torpedo Launchers where the Mk XII launchers are being lumped in with the Mk XI ones on the Exchange - For example: if you do a quick text search you'll not find any Common Mk XII Quantum Launchers listed... but you will find Mk XI Launchers with a Mk XII Icon and damage values. Unfortunately the same is NOT true for Kit modules... they're just nowhere to be seen!)

I have played this mission 4 times on one of my science character and got:

    2 x Anesthizine Gas XI
    2 x Electro-Gravitic Field XI

Is there a random chance to get anything within the class or are certain items more likely?

(luckily I have 2 science captains, so its not so bad ... just don't want to end up with a billion of the same 2 items!)

I've managed over three complete sets on my Engineer so far (mostly sold on the exchange!)
Seems totally random... though there was one day I got 3 Quantum Mortars in a row... ;)

    Cool, that's good to know!
If I get excess I will sell them on the exchange and buy one of your Quantum Mortars! ;)

For now bring on the mighty grind for random loot! :)

I'll admit to not having shopped for MK XII Quantum Launchers since Season 9 hit! ;)

I meant that more as an example of the display/exchange issues that could be causing items not to appear properly. I did a full search for multiple types of Kit modules under the various Ranks and went by Tooltip values and/or Icons to determine the proper Mark instead of trusting the text - there was no sign of any Mk XII stuff, aside from the special Purples listed under the Admiral Rank which correspond to Lockbox drops. :)

Because the exchange does not support wildcard* search strings and the Quality filter is broken in the All category (and there's no kit modules category yet) my search methodology has been as follows:

    1. Set price filter to Descending (because as I said in my first post, these should be among the most expensive)
    2. Set rank to Rear Admiral Upper Half
    3. Search all of the following terms:
    "assault kit module"
    "strategic kit module"
    "medic kit module"
    "research kit module"
    "mechanic kit module"
    "fabrication kit module"

    4. Repeat steps 1-3, changing rank to Vice Admiral

The results are plenty of X and XI modules and 0 mk XII kit modules found at RAUH, and only lockbox modules found at VA.

I've also tried searching for a few (7-ish?) individual powers such as "ambush mk xii" or "quick fix mk xii" without using any rank filter; no results either but I admit I haven't tried a search for every single module power.

Just to make sure someone's seen it, you are aware of this rather extensive-impact bug also, right?

It's making new-style kits for leveling newish characters a bit unworkable. (Upping the module priority in the loot tables couldn't hurt either; those are really rare to drop.)

Well, I did search for every type of module, and I searched for Mk XI before Mk XII in each case to make sure that I didn't type the search term incorrectly. In each case, I found plenty of Mk XI modules. In some cases, I found Mk XII lockbox modules, but no regular Mk XII modules. I also found white "Biofilter Sweep Mk XII" modules. I specified neither rarity nor rank when I searched. But if the searches failed because I did not specify rarity and rank, then I would not have seen search results for Mk XI modules and "Biofilter Sweep Mk XII".

It would be a lot easier to test if XII modules are even dropping if I didn't have to drag other people into it for a ground STF or wait 30 minutes for story missions to come off of cooldown.

Looks like this thread was created 2 days after I made a bug report about it.

I'm pretty sure that *no* fleet kit frames are suppose to come with any modules.

I found 2 kit frames from the fleet embassy come with a kit module but no other fleet kits come with any.

Romulan Science Kit Mk X - comes with 'Stasis Field' module. Mk XI and Mk XII don't indicate they come with a module. (have not purchased to confirm if it does in fact come with a module or not but I suspect it does)

Romulan Engineering Kit Mk XII - comes with 'Burst Turret Fabrication IV'. Mk X and Mk XI don't indicate that they come with a module.

I purchased the romulan engineering kit for the stat bonuses yesterday to replace the kit frame I got when trading in my fleet spire bunker fabrication kit. The romulan engineering kit did in fact come with a very rare burst turret Mk XII module. It was the same exact module I got when I traded in my fleet spire kit.

From the looks of things I'm not able to slot both burst turret modules. I believe it is intentional that you can't slot 2 of the same exact type of kit module, regardless of rarity and Mk, on a single kit frame. You should be able to slot a burst turret *and* a flamethrower turret, but not 2 of the same one burst turrets or 2 flamethrower turrets on the same frame, as an example.

I know there's a Seeker Drone in the Romulan Embassy Fleet Kit (I think). Forceshield...I think is in the Romulan one too.

My main engineer has both a Biotech turret Mk XII from undine lock box as well as a Burst Turret Mk XII from trading in my fleet spire bunker fabrication kit. Both are equipped on the same kit frame.

As for the seeker drone module, there isn't any at either the fleet embassy or fleet spire.

The modules available as ultra rare fleet versions at the embassy and spire are what use to be the only Mk IV ability on the old fleet kits. All other kit modules aren't available through the fleet spire except for what you get when trading in a pre-season 9 kit.

This means the selection is very limited. I was under the impression during season 9 beta that there would be an ultra rare fleet kit module for all kit abilities, excluding lock box, rep, or other special modules.

Fleet embassy only had 1 kit per career so this means it only has 1 ultra rare module each for tactical, science, and engineering that you can buy. The fleet spire had 2 kits per career so that means there is only 2 ultra rare modules per career available to buy, for a total of 3 ultra rare modules per career. This means that you won't be able to get ultra rare modules for the last 2 slots on your kit even if you buy all that's available for your career from your embassy and spire. :( And the fleet stores don't have any very rare Mk XII modules either.

I think a certain episode (1 of the revamped borg episodes, possibly the last episode) grants a random very rare Mk XI or Mk XII kit module for your career. Also, I think there was something about getting 1 very rare Mk XII for your career per day when completing any daily mission at the dyson sphere ground battlezone.

Other than that, the only other ways would be the few lock box modules, the new undine reputation, whatever you can find if any from random loot drops in ground content, and last but not least, the extremely overpriced exchange.

All kit modules in the dilithium store only go up to rare (blue) Mk IX. They should have at least gone up to very rare Mk XI in my opinion.

The white biofilter sweep mk xii module comes from turning in the old spire science kit - you get a new kit with 5 modules and that's one of them. It also happens to be unbound and pretty useless so there's an incentive to pull it out and sell it. I've been running ground farm missions and if mk xii modules drop I haven't seen any yet. I too would like confirmation that 1) VR mk xii modules do drop and 2) running elite modes improves the drop rate.

Well, that would explain it. The trade-in version of "Spire Science Kit - Medic Mk XII" should probably come with green "Biofilter Sweep Mk XII" instead of white. When you trade in other Mk XII fleet kits, the fifth module is Mk XII green.

And since no one at Cryptic thought about updating the Exchange w/ a Kit Module category, you have to search for all of them under All/All Ranks/Any Quality and type in enough to narrow down your results. So sad. I'd be embarrassed to have forgotten that in my product. (but it's not like this is the first items that have no quality or category tags on them)

The only ones that seem to be rank/quality tagged are the new Undine ones. Blank search with VA rank and VR quality will bring them up.
