Bug: Mission Unable to be republished

bazagbazag Member Posts: 375 Arc User
During the automated republishing process some of my Klingon missions didn't properly republish so now that the editor is back up, I went about seeing what would happen if I would republish them.

For one of them however the publishing process is failing and I'm not sure why.

Name: Enemies of the Empire
Shortcode: ST-HFY7GLDMV
Author: Bazag

I get the following error message when I try to publish...

Error during publish. publish failed: log Project needs republish

Can someone please look into this?

Thanks.

EDIT: Yes, I know that publishing isn't actually available currently but this is the only mission that gets the error message when the attempt is made.

Both of my missions are having the same problem.

I can click Publish, it says it's starting, then comes up with an identical error to Baz's listed one.

I heard KT talk about this in chat and did a test publish and it worked.

    Snap. Same thing on mine.

Also, the depreciated assets notice on start up; I assumed that was related to the door but I've had it appear on YMHE which starts at the Academy. Anyone know what that relates to then?

Just to ask, those who's missions don't work:

What is the starting point of your missions?

Both of mine don't work and the old starting point was the console right beside the transporter room.

EDIT: As of 2:36 pm MST, mine still aren't working, just in regards to Zorbane's comment.

Same glitch. I fixed my instructions to the player in the editor to where the console is, but I get the same error when trying to publish.

Geez, will they ever get this right for us??

Mine is a Klingon mission, so yeah. It's not an ESD only thing as I can't place my mission there. Mine starts by the Xarantine System in the Pi Canis Sector block.

For comparison purposes, the mission I successfully republished starts at Breshar in Iota Pavonis.

Mission "Over There" (ST-HNFFDQEKB) published at 9:04 pm US Mountain Time on Wednesday. Took about 10 minutes.

Set to a new door on ESD, which works perfectly.

Mine's still failing on me as of 9:54 pm MST.

I'll likely try once more in the middle of the night, just to give it a shot, but I'm not keeping my hopes up at this point. heh

    EDIT:

I also tried Withdrawing the mission and then trying to publish it after doing so. It didn't work.

You can add my project "State of the Union" Fed 41+ to the list. Starts at a door on DSP.

Same error line "log needs replenished". Tried many times from all locations that one can click "publish".

    Thanks!

Same thing coming up for me, and I specifically changed the starting point to check.

Can't even try to Withdraw & Republish method as the Withdraw option is disabled for me.

Just tried publishing my mission (10:56 am MST), after the patch for the day, and it didn't work still.

Still getting the same error as listed in the original post.

Something tells me we might be waiting a bit on this one. heh

I believe we fixed this issue. All your projects should now publish fine unless you have actual errors in your publish :D.

My mission is currently progressing on its publish.

Jfinder is the Foundry Guru. Though he is technically part of the Neverwinter team I believe.

Glad to hear it's working again. Thanks Jared!

    Just a quick note:

On the mission that I had this problem in when I republished it there was red text announcing that it wasn't qualifying for rewards.

I played it and once I finished it once again qualified.

    So

    1. Check to see if your mission qualifies or not.

    2. If it doesn't do a quick playthrough and afterwards, check to see if it qualifies or not.

Sure would be nice if somebody was in charge of the thing on this side of the Cryptic fence. It must be a little rough running to the NW devs every time something goes wrong with STO's foundry.

I don't understand how a team can be both a "core" team supporting all games and technically only a part of a non-core team.

    Thanks for the fix, jfinder.
