I just hope they do it justice this time around. Make it more action packed, super high tech, with a touch of the old look.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

'Starfleet is not a military organisation. Its purpose is exploration.' Picard: Peak Performance
'This is clearly a military operation. Is that what we are now? Because I thought we were explorers!' Scotty: Into Darkness
'...The Federation. Starfleet. We're not a military agency.' Scotty: Beyond
'I'm not a soldier anymore. I'm an engineer.' Miles O'Brien: Empok Nor

Who remembers this version of Flash Gordan?

Flash Gordon The Greatest Adventure of All [1982]

Now if they can do something like this, with a few up dates and new twist it might work.

    This Ming is a psycho.

I remember a Terry Pratchett book where some barbarian heroes mentioned a guy called Ning the Uncompassionate...

    Never laughed harder.

Ooh, I somehow missed that one, I think. I have the rest of the Filmation stuff on DVD.

I'm all for the retro-future look, (dieselpunk, pulp, and serial scifi are some of my favorite genres) though I'd prefer one that was sleek in that look, and didn't appear like the costumes were stitched by scouts working on their sewing merit badge.
