Hi hope someone can help. I would like to take screenshots on STO but after reading other places it's meant to go in a folder created by STO. However, I can't find this folder or anything other than ARC, Repair ARC and Uninstall ARC under Perfect World Entertainment. I've tried the search hard drive for "screenshot" but no results. I've also done the /screenshot and picked a few but still no screenshots found. Win7 ARC to launch STO.

Hmm, I don't know if ARC changes this. I don't have it. But go ahead and take a look here:

    C: Users/Public/Games/Cryptic Studios/Star Trek Online/Live/Screenshots

If that doesn't work, I got nothin'. Good luck. ;)

As stated, nothing exists under "screenshot" and also as stated only think folderwise that exists is Perfect World Entertainment and only ARC shows on that.

Don't know why I need fraps and that as the screenshot key works but only can paste into paint so that won't help. I've seen that STO screenshot into folder gives much clear view and that and that's what I want.
Is there a way to get this folder back? I miss the launcher before ARC as problems with the main computer has resulted in getting ARC on this laptop.

U said u having problems taking screenshots.. a solution is to use a program designed for that, and as i said, there are plenty of em out there... i always used fraps, but only because i already use it on other matters, and i am used to it.

Yes the problem is that the folder that the screenshots go into you you press Prt Sc does not exist. Screenshot works as i can paste into paint but quality is the same as I see it in game. The STO screenshot that auto creates the file called "screenshot(date)" won't happen. Fraps won't give me that. Fraps will give me as I see it or worse. The STO screenshot is very clear.

Erm, i dunno how u use fraps, but i get any screenshot i want in the folder i want (you can modify that on fraps), always used fraps for any game to take videos/screenshots.

Usually, the built-in screenshot option of the games only works sometimes and depends a lot of your monitor/graphic card configuration. The print-scr of your keyboard has the same problem. Thats the reason i always use fraps, because sometimes its just impossible to take a screenshot with print-scr or with the in-game option.

If you are playing from the Steam version, your screenshots should go to a path similar to this:
    C:\SteamApps\common\Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online\Live\screenshots

Note that there is an additional "Star Trek Online" folder nested within the first.

TIP: Unless you changed your Steam library location, you should be able to copy the quoted line from my post, click the Windows Start button, and paste this into the box, which should open that folder location.
