Unbalanced Leveling

Okay, so my wife opened a Romulan tac, then skipped the tutorial. It put her at level 8. She left the flotilla at level 10, with the Suliban mission. She had to play through to Neutral No More with the first ship they give you, and then they gave her the Dhelan. Problem is, she is 20. There is no promotion for 20. She has the next mission part to go to that system after Neutral No More. She chose KDF, and has done nothing other than the level 1-10 missions. She is a full rank behind on ship, and a full rank ahead on missions. Really unbalanced. What gives?

    It's a problem both the KDF and the Romulan Republic have during double-XP events.

    So, pretty much it is just a deal-with-it thing?

    I'm leveling a KDF-Romulan right now too and I've not had any problems with the promotions showing up. Have you tried going to New Romulus and talking to the admiral?

    Mostly. It's kinda transient now that she's past the level 10 mission, so she should be able to either talk to Kererek at New Romulus Command or just push on to level 30.

    She did the next mission, and got the promotion under the Available tab. Problem solved. Thanks.

    It's just during the bonus XP thing throwing things somewhat out of whack, because of how certain things are tied into mission completion and not just level. Kind of like you get additional DOFFs before you get your first complement of DOFFs...

    Also I may add if your really skilled player you'll really move up fast. If not tends to level up slow. Well in just a few weeks I am max out of 3 groups to level 50. KDF was faster for me. With all these bonus points and Borg hits you can level up so fast prior to the missions kicks you over to the two more levels. Turned Captain one day on KDF later that night turned B-General. Kept on going to M-General and kept going into the late night to L-General.

    It's the same issue unallied Romulan faction characters face (as in those who level to 50 without ever doing Turning Point). C-Store ships, however, can be claimed as soon as you reach the appropriate level. So, what I was doing was claiming the Dhael right after beaming into space to start The Helix (when I would hit 10). Beamed back down, set it up, and went through the story. When you hit 20, the Valdore's also available to you from the C-Store, or the Mogai once you hit Neutral No More. This should also unlock other C-Store ships from the faction you chose in Turning Point.
