Hey guys, as the title states I am looking for a nice friendly fleet with a t5 shipyard.
I started playing around 3 weeks ago really enjoying the game and trying to learn as much as I can. Since then I made a lot of effort trying to grind dilithium and fleet marks in order to acquire a better ship. I am still far from my goal of 2500 zen but I am sitting on 150k fleet credits and the Odyssey Star Cruiser caught my eye
If any of you kind gentlemen would be willing to grant me entry and permission into a fleet to buy it I would be forever in your debt. I have a fleet ship module and 1 mil ec's in my possession (am still account limited) to pay for such a gesture. I can also contribute to the fleet with whatever is necessary to earn my member status however I am kinda anxious as you can imagine and waiting a few weeks would be a major turn off. Nevertheless, with your permission I am willing to remain in the fleet after the purchase and contribute however I can as I still have much to learn.
I know this was a long read so if you made it this far thank you!
Also, I apologize for any mistakes as English isn't my first language.

Secondly, earning store buying privileges is usually fleet credit based on amount of fleet credits you have earned in the fleet in question. How fast you can hit that mark all depends. Fleets with T5 shipyards are usually megafleets. They have their fleet and about 2-3 sister fleets and a few farming bases. So their populations are huge and thus the competition to get fleet credits is stupid fierce. Or such privilages are earned with time in fleet. It all really depends on the fleet. Point being, getting instant access is unlikely. Though I could wrong.
Lastly, you will need 4 fleet modules if I'm not mistaken to get the Fleet Odyssey if you don't have the C-store version.
What might be your ticket though. Find a small fleet. They are usually starved for any and all resources and even if they gate their store privileges behind a fleet credit earned sort of gate you can earn whatever is need in a snap. While they won't have a T5 shipyard, you will have access to their ship provisions, which is all you need.
Because what you do is head over to the Nop Public Service channel and ask for an invite to a big fleet with the shipyard you need. Bam. You get your ship fast, free, and a small fleet gets a little help.
Incedently I know a small fleet that can help make that all come true. Check out the Free Marches Confederacy. Drop me a mail or PM at @Lord_Vale_Cortez if interested. Store access costs you a lowly 75k fleet credits earned (just 1500 fleet marks, we need so many marks...)
The regular Odyssey costs 200,000 Fleet Credits, but no FSMs. It's only a 9-console ship, not a true Fleet ship.
If OP is going to drop real money and wants an Odyssey, he's better off just buying one off the C-Store. It'll have stats comparable to Fleet ships.
@OP: If you want to join a fleet, you should browse some threads at the Fleet forums here:

Thank you for your help much appreciated. As I understood, buying a ship consumes provisions from said fleet (the one with the t5 shipyard and not the one you've previously been in?) thus creating the understandable reluctancy from the fleet members.
Yes and no. I mean, you're basically right, but here's clarification:
For most fleet gear, you can visit another fleet's starbase (or embassy/mine/spire) and use their vendors. But the provision use comes from your own fleet.
For ships - you CAN'T use another fleet's vendor. That's because the ship vendor is set up differently from a normal item vendor. Even if you visit another fleet's map, and use the shipyard console, it just pulls up the exact same window you'd get anywhere else - and you'd only be able to claim ships that your own fleet has unlocked.
That means the only way to use "another fleet's" shipyard is to actually be invited into that fleet - you actually need to be a part of it.
There ARE T5 fleet leaders and officers who will give fleet invites to people, let them into the fleet temporarily, allow you to purchase a ship, and then...kick you out, or let you leave. Whatever. It happens.
But this is rare. You're right, the fact that this uses the fleet's provisions is one reason.
The broader point is, you're not just looking for a T5 fleet with lots of extra provisions...you're looking for a T5 fleet that allows people into their ranks temporarily. You're looking for a fleet leader or officer who actually can invite and promote you. Most T5 fleets have at least some rank structure, so J. Random Member on these forums or hanging out on ESD can't help you. You actually do need a leader with the permissions - and that's a relatively small subset of players.
As mentioned, there's people on the NoP Public Service channel who will set up strangers with free fleet ships. But we're not talking...dozens of people. We're talking maybe two or three people per faction, who offer free ships like this - they're the actual fleet leaders who can issue invites. If you can't catch those players online, you're out of luck.
Also, there are plenty of fleets that give free access to ships. Any tier 5 fleet has tons of fleet ships provisioned. Depleting those only adds another fleet credit generating project, which is always needed in a maxed out fleet.
Never pay for a ship, that's just some one ripping you off.
