Ker'rat: Operation Thalaron Pulse

Who said thalaron pulse isn't for PvP? Me and some other PvPers reunited in Ker'rat to exploit its power stacking Particle Generators on Tulwar.

Both Feds and Klink popped. How, you'll see it ;)

    While nicely done, that's a pre-planned event. No real pvp enemy would stay there in front of you for all that time.

    Even most npcs would get out of the way.
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    Definately funny, I guess you could point at a Fed/KDF ball and shoot. Maybe you'll get a similar result.

    Now that I come to Ker'rat with one of my KDF/Rom toons I have been lanced a few times. Thaleron and phaser lance are one shots that I can get behind.

    Yeah. Most NPC's. Even the disabled Undine cruisers in the Republic Day mission, when I was commanding the Llieset. THey moved out of the way from it.

    Yeah. Made me feel bad... I'm sure Cryptic planned that, LOL.
    The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

    yeah it's weird too. Tried it on raptors in CSE and the raptors went full impulse towards the Kang to get out of the way. Totally counterproductive. Not that it was a great ability, but now it's totally useless and can be detrimental to the mission.

    Yeah, but I used the Thalaron on the disabled Undine cruisers, and they moved away.

    The best way to use this attach on other ships is after you drop a load of tractor mines, and also have one or two others on your team to hit each of the other ships with a tractor beam. However, even then it is possible for the enemy to run outside the cone of attack.

    It's best use is on stationary targets like generators, transformers, gates, and sometimes cubes. If you really want to see how much damage it can do, use it on a gate in an elite STF while no one else is shooting it, and see how much of it's health it takes down. The most I could do with mine in the Vortex was take about 3% of it's health. That isn't too impressive because with my other consoles equipped, I can take down it's health the same if not more in the same amount of time it takes for the Thalaron pulse to charge and shoot. Plus, I am not a sitting duck while waiting for an attack to charge up.

    I would like to see how much damage you can get with your build on one of those gates. If you can do a significant amount more damage, you might have a setup that can make it a useful attack against them. If you try that, I would love to see the video of it.

    I like the loading time actually. 12 seconds let me enjoy the animation after all... with 5-8 seconds it doesn't look like real.

    Original Scimitar took 7 minutes to charge it after all :D

    That is true. It was not designed to use against other ships, but to hit planets with it. The only reason it could have worked in the movie was because the Enterprise was unable to run.

    However for amusements sake the enterprise could have probably sent eng teams onto the hull with ev suit thrusters and still moved out of that cone of fire if it were like the game lol!

    Just send some redshirts to do the work, or at least to push from outside. In worst case scenario they would be brutally murdered by thalaron but oh well... :cool:

    I've been 1-shot by a fully-specced Tulwar with the set. I was in a mirror ha'apax at the time, testing out a build for a fleetmate.

    My fleetmate grav welled me, hit RSP and sec shields, then the pulse.

    I couldn't get out of the way in time, and blew up dramatically.
