I would like to see a way to filter out our community managers posts.
When I look at the dev tracker, which is broke when you go to different pages btw, I want to see useful information not garbage spam which seems to be flowing oh so abundantly from our current community manager.
filter plz or less spam
and also "no patch" yet I still ended up downloading a patch. wtf u stealth nerf this time?
Lol, you need some anger management. Just try the dev list with the search function and keep smirk and trendy out if that's what you're irked about.
Anyway, for the rest of the devs you only see taco, borticus, hawk, and frost posting regularly, anyone else is just extremely random, so you could search just for those 4 by yourself.

Nerd rage central on the forum today....
The patch, as per the Maintenance thread, was a Server stability update not a game patch. It is all about you and your connection to the Server, not the game.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Actually, OP has a point now that I look at the dev tracker...
Not that I don't mind silly posts like this (BONDING WITH THE COMMUNITY IS REALLY NICE), but it does kinda clog up the dev tracker. Maybe dev accounts should have some sort of checkbox that will mark the post as something that shows up in the tracker...?

The Devs never come to the forum and communicate with the fans! Cryptic sucks!

We will know that it is getting close when Cryptic activates the pre-patcher.

Though like most "stability updates" it seems to have only destabilized everything. Its always fun DCing five times while just trying to run basic char maintenance (re-slotting doff missions, etc.)

I was on for about 45 minutes and never DCed once.

So, if a community manager were to come into this thread and make a Silly Stupid Post refering to this thread as a Silly Stupid Thread, would the two Silly Stupid Things, continually refering to each other in a Continuous Silly Stupid Loop, make this whole Silly Stupid Mess disappear in some sort of Silly Stupid Feedback Loop?
Please?

oh yeah. lets classify my desire to not manually filter through spam to get to useful information as "nerd rage". you're super cool.
and okay i didn't read the maintenance thread, you got me there. the reason for that is the same reason i want a more comprehensive filter

she/he/it isn't a dev.and therefore by a commonsense definition of a "devtracker" the posts made by them doesn't belong in the tracker to start with.
i have nothing against them, or their desire to bond with the community however when i am trying to find information regarding an issue, having to manually go through and look for posts amongst the massive amount of "ermahgerd baconz" posts is annoying at best.
i guess one of the good news things about arc is that the forums will be getting an overhaul, and hopefully that includes more comprehensive filters.

Except that the Maintenance thread is posted by the CM, not a Dev.
And since the CM answers most of the questions players ask, rather then an actual Dev, not wanting to see the CM's replies does not really help your case all that much.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I can't ever see more than the first page of Dev Tracker.
If you're not checking it once or twice a day, you could miss stuff. The more a tracked Dev posts, the more likely that older posts are going to scroll to the 2nd page and beyond.
Of course, you could follow Dev Tracker on Twitter like I do, and then you can find those day-old posts that way.
Both Captain Smirk and Trendy post official news items all the time and they do need to be in the Tracker.

I read the OP.
I activated Emergency Power to Engines to escape the growing singularity caused by the density of the irony in the immediate vicinity.
