Can we get a 'beat-up' ship Material option?

Another idea for the suggestion box.

Battle scars, blackened pock marks on the hull from energy weapon damage, superficial cracks and fractures. Missing or 'melted' ablative armor sections.

The difference between 'worn', 'beat-up', and 'scarred' should be aesthetically clear and distinct from 'damaged'.

Some ships (whether KDF, Federation, or Romulan) might have various superficial (I.E. non-critical) scars on their ship as a matter of pride, intimidation, or to invite targets to attack them -- or they might simply decide said imperfections and flaws in their hull are not worth the time or resources to repair.

Again, simply as one of the many options for ship materials for the players who desire them.

Maybe a visual option to have it look like a derelict vesset? :D

I get what you're saying (and it makes sense... pristine tactical ship seems odd sometimes). As an additional, it might also be useful to have such material (along with the damage graphics) based on ship damage... to serve as a pre-alert to others in team scenarios... "Hailing the crackling smoking ship with warp plasma spewing out everywhere... fix yer systems!"

There is already that option. Double click on the engine and warp/singularitory core you have equipped. :P

Would love this option. I don't see why they don't expand on the character customization scheme for ships. Given the amount of fighting in this game is required it seems odd to me that there isn't this option. In the end, it just gives the ship more character.

Sounds cool. I want my saucer to look like it's rammed some BoPs.

Just stick some masking tape on the monitor where your ship's deflector is as a work-around. :D
