    it's a bug, it's not like it's intentional. If it were, they wouldn't have used full name calls in the tutorial dialogue. Atleast it's EC and not zen to fix it, so it's an easy fix once you get to a starbase.

    Unfortunately, it's not game breaking, so I don't see the devs fixing it any time soon.

    Don't get me wrong, I spent 15 minutes writing the Bio for my Romulan toon only to lose that to the same bug, it does suck, I just wouldn't pin my hopes on them fixing it soon.

    Woah there, just breathe. Inhale. Exhale. Now, 1500 EC is very easy to come by. It's not even pocket change. You can sneeze and more than 1500 EC will come out.

    All you need to do is kill a few enemies, take their loot, right click the loot in your inventory and discard it. Then you'll have enough for the name change.

    Wow...I don't think I've ever seen such and overeaction to such a small issue...

    You can put the whole name back you know? And it's still free, it's game currency you get for free as well!!

    Do you want me to give you that EC? Do you want 100,000?
    It may seem to be much for a new player but you will get that time, and time, and time, and time again in no time!

    you get about 20x the EC needed by just vendoring a single piece of gear at endgame. MAJOR overreaction much?

    100K EC buys a LOT of candy or liquor. A piece of candy or liquor is a mere 20 EC. 100K EC will get you some 5000 units liquor. Divided into stacks of 20, that's 250 stacks of liquor. This is more than will fit in the typical F2P player's bank.
