Enemry Stats - Mirror Fed Ships

ineluki71ineluki71 Member Posts: 60 Arc User
Is there any place to see the stats on enemy ships? I am trying to see the best way to equip my ships against Fed Mirror ships. So looking for, what bonuses do they have against certain weapons? Do they have a high resist to Anti-proton, etc etc.

Keep it simple. The main things to equip:

Boff Powers: Polarize Hull, Emergency Power to Engines, Attack Pattern: Omega (to name a few) - these will help protect you from the Tractor Beam spam the cruisers like to do and the tractor beam repulsor as well.

    - If your'e using Fleet shields (or normal shields), one with a [Pha] modifier.

    - Be mindful of using targetable projectiles around the escorts and cruisers. Learn the patterns of the NPC AI script. For example, the pattern for the Escorts is like this:

    Spawn
    Trigger B:Faw
    Fire PDT
    Normal attack

Avoid contact if you can to more quickly close portals.

For my Klingon BoP I find that GravWell, Gravametric Photon Torp Spread 3, and Cannon: Scattershot mow down the annoying little ships well. Especially since the Mirandas travel in tight packs. Takes like 4 seconds to wipe out 3 Mirandas. :D Then you close the rift before something bigger comes out.

Yeah the wide attacks seem to do the best. But just wished I knew their weakness. There has to be someone out there that has the stats. I always wanted to have an equipment set based on who I am fighting.

I'm fairly certain NPCs have limited setups in terms of defence, like consoles specifically

In this game its more know your counters, and have your own defences than to actually plan anything against the npc hord XD (outside of NWS and some stfs)

The mirror universe are just bland boxes with guns that you shred :P

(if i had to guess the only people who have any info on the ships defensive layout, resists to energy types if they have any, would be the devs, the sto wiki will only list weapons/skills an enemy npc uses)

    edit:
As stated the most you can really do in pre planning is have your boff powers like polarize hull (nulifies tractors) and armor consoles that resist kintetic and phaser damage and your laughing (as for shield/deflector/engines its always best to use fleet or a set based of your build e.g. jem for a polaron build etc)
[Combat (Self)] Your Bite deals 2378 (1475) Physical Damage(Critical) to Spawnmother.

Really the only thing you have to watch out for are the Typhoons, who take longer to kill than any of the other ships and if their are more than 2-3 they WILL transphasic/Tractor repulse you to death.

The ships will ignore you and head for the base within some set of rules that I have not quite determined. But one of them is range... if you can get 7.5-8 or so away, most of them will shoot you a few parting shots and then proceed toward the starbase. But sometimes the ships just sit on a portal if it is too far from the base. Anyway come in behind the portals (portal is between you and the base) and try to close them. If you get shot, kill and close as fast as you can. If it is just the 3 weak ships kill first then close but anything else try to close first.

If your ship can ignore tractor beam damage (its pretty weak, a2s hull heal can out-heal it) evasive is sufficient to turn toward a tractor ship and melt it. One skill to counter tractors is still worth it but stacking several is overkill.

I can't tell they resist anything more than anything else (and I have a bunch of toons doing it daily so I have tried several damage types -- if they resist tert or phasers I would not know). They are just kind of tough in general (compared to the same ships in, say, KDF empire defense or whatever) and the big ships are kind of tanky. High dps players can still blast them apart in a couple of hits.

The 2 biggest dangers are that some of them can take your shields off for a moment and the big ones all have torp spread. The combo will kill anyone; and TS is nasty and will kill average ships on a crit.

They have no major resistances for say, but you do need be prepared against phaser energy weapons they use.

Also keep close attention on the Typhoon and Luna class ships, as these tend to use tractor beams a lot along with nadeon detonators.

The Luna makes heavy use of feedback pulse, this is one of the major killers I see people die from a lot because the more incoming damage they receive during its use, the more damage that is being fed back to you in return.

The rest of the MU ships aren't to much of a hassle, Mirandas die quickly, the others are just pests with tractor beams and torpedo and phaser bombardments.

the Noble cruisers like to use EMG torps, not a big threat really, but annoying. The biggest annoyance is the way Typhoons love to spam TBR. Also the Escorts have PDS.

Watch out for the Prometheus and Hermes-class ships. They both have the Quad Phaser Cannons and those things will melt shields like a candy bar in 90 degree weather.

After running the mission 8 x per day for the past 6 days, the follow strategy works well in elite:

The Mirror ships seem to ignore you if you're within 9-10km, but not firing (odd).

Stealth works well. (SO well, we're trying a B'Rel torpedo build with remarkable success)

2 Cruisers work the perimeter, focusing their efforts on getting the power relays working. Each take responsibility for 2 platforms, working their way pack and forth until the station is at full power. Ignore the rifts at the start to get the power stations online, then clear one rift between the 2 power stations you're covering.

Try not to get caught between 2 rifts.

2 Science ships work the portals from behind, let the mirror ships through if necessary to close the portals quickly. 'Singularity Manipulation' will allow you to get close enough to close the portal, even in combat without being hit. The timing for this romulan rep skill seems to work well.

Stealthier vessels can get within 8 km unscathed to close portals.

Remaining captain works on those ships that make it to the Starbase. An escort works well, especially if the 2 science vessels drop a gravity well as they occasionally pass.

After the station is a level 5, the cruisers move inward on mop-up with the science ships. Tag-teaming seems to be efficient, for example:

Sci ship drops a grav well on the farthest ship from the rift; cruiser engages within 4km. Sci withdraws to safe distance to close rift, then joins in to finish the combat.

    ----

This works in Normals so well we spend 3 minutes waiting for the last event to trigger. Elites can vary in success, but our regular teams seem to keep the station at 80%+. When you get 3 rifts in close proximity, all hell breaks loose - but that's the fun part of this mission.

Thanks all for your posts! Sounds like a good challenge to figure what NPCs are weak against and what weapons they use. This way you can tailor your ships to fit each type of NPC, be it Romulan, Fed, Klink, Udine, etc
