    Bad guys?

The Federation are just a variant of the Borg...too caught up in their Prime Directive and patting themselves on the back to see it.

"We are the Federation. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."

It's right there for everybody to see...

...the difference with the KDF is they do not hid behind any false pretense of what they're doing.

If RvB PVP queue's will become available maybe it would be a good idea to make a new PVP test map in which you can join only as single player and not as team.
( It would not be great deal -just copy the existing code and disable the "group option join")

After some time statistics can be run and mathematics will say what really sto players prefer : normal queue's (with team queue variant) or single player queue's .
"There already is a Borg faction, its called the Federation. They assimilate everyone else's technology and remove any biological or technical distinctiveness and add it to their own."

I actually believe Michael Eddington said it best in his epic rant to Space Jesus on his way out the door.

It is kind of funny, thinking about that - how that has persisted.

Indeed VD. Such an old train of thought, yet still going in spite of stuff like Romulans, lockboxes, etc.
Acetons everywhere... - not sure if good or bad.

Eh, if people still have a problem with Acetons, then they need to learn to not just spam pets and/or FAW all the time. Or load up a KCB and just deal with it, or ignore em.

Honestly, I don't think AA's have been a problem for a long time.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

I'd even go so far as to say that I haven't seen an AA for quite some time - apart from those dropped by NPC's in fleet mark grinds.

Meh. True KDF is much less scary then people think. Let's just say that if KDF ships were the yardstick against other faction ships were balanced, we'd see quite the forum outrage :)

Only thing KDF PvP pugs have going for them, these days, is that they tend to communicate better. Which is OP, clearly.

Hrmm, there's something to bring up about the Accords - how far will this potential peace go? Are we going to have Klingon and Federation Embassies as well as Romulan? What kind of exchange are we going to see...

Ah Aceton Assimilators... Can you imagine if feds got them?

KDF battlecruisers being decloaked before they're ready, B'rels dying without a shot being fired on them, elite interceptors ceasing to exist as soon as they leave the hanger. Plasma torps, cloak/web mines and transphasic cluster torps rendered utterly useless.

It'd become yet another PvP prerequisite, almost as much as a must have as plasmonic leech.

Still surprised the AA <--> TDF exchange hasn't happened yet...but they probably knew that S9 was coming...and we'll have to see what that means.

I would rather see the Klingon Empire and the Federation still at war, or a hostile truce between the KDF and Feds while still have Skirmishes along the Klingon-Fed border... not a peace.

and Why KvF PvP queues take so long? there's no incentive to play PvP, no instant 1 match rewards such as Fleet Marks, Dilithium or any Rep mark or system to speak of at this moment, how many ppl would play STF Elite 3 str8 times just to get 50 Omega marks and 1480 dilithium? few or if not none at all. some of my fleet members and i playing PvP time to time, some them do like to pvp but many don't want to continue due to the fact they don't give out enough rewards compared to PvE queue's to give them fleet points fast enough to get them stuff from fleet stores.

Yes but he is in my fleet and its part of a pattern of you always sniping at HoBO members whether its me, Mini, Zelda, Fonz, Killzone, or whoever.

Somehow I doubt even team cooldown changes, cleanse doff prevalence, or whatever made you supposedly "quit" will keep you away from your anit HoBO crusade for long, you will be back talking trash in zone from cloak as usual soon enough.

I quit STO a while ago. By accident, I hit the pvp forum on my browser from an old cache and this is what I see.

Suffice to say, this makes me want to dust off my "Mini-hunter" and blow you up again 5 times in less than 10 minutes and post your dead pics here in the forum. Actually, I won't stop at 5 times, if you change instance, I will pursue you and hunt you down again and again and there is nothing your PB BS can do, it's totally useless against my build.

    You quit? But le why?

I'll miss you hunting me in Ker'rat!

    Ok, on topic:

I'd love some RvB action. Might see the queues pop a little more often, with more people getting to do PvP!

Oh, and I haven't seen an Aceton in ages. Who the hell sacrifices a slot for that when there's so many more sexy consoles available?

Miss you and some others badly but while you were away Cryptic messed up the game for Sci and stealth nerfed many things to make sure this remains Escort Online. Now, healing and tanking are through the roof - many people fly around with TT, ET and ST activateable simultaneously. The game has become vapers vs. unkillable tanks.

To others: I'd PM if it didn't just redirect me to www.arcgames.com.

Can't get your kicks out of rolling another char? I mean, it's Trek!

And not to be a male genital organ, but healing and tanking were already through the roof. Hence vapers ;).

You have been away for too long, a lot has happened since. One of which is I created a monstrous Klingon / Kromulan decloaking machine with over 3000+ SDR, which lighted up all Klinks in Kerrat within a vicinity of 20KM while remaining "cloaked" myself (Yes, it's possible as hard as it may seem). Just to give you an idea, when K'Vork was trolling in Kerrat, his top SDR will not go higher than 1320 and you know first hand how much pain and tears that caused you and many other proud vapers. So imagine a monster with 3000+ SDR. ;) It was designed to help other Feds avoid nasty smelly Klink vapers in Kerrat, acting almost like a lighthouse in darknights by the sea if you will. However, days after that baby was born, Cryptic nerfed Sci and caused mass exodus of a lot of Sci Captains. Naturally, as a Panda pointed out, Mini is in heaven - all those pesky Sci disappeared from STO = free reign for Mini. Mini then proceeded to start several threads in the pvp forum gloating about how he pwns people easily these days.

There was a firestorm re: sci nerfs in the PvP forum but the worst part is the Dev were too chicken to even come defend & explain their decision in the PvP forum, instead they posted a piece of half truths and half lies (aka. PR piece) in the Builds forum for the PvE crowd which adored and idolized the Dev like a god.

They have since tried to placate the Sci with some candies down the road but the damage is done. Many have swear off STO. Ironically, antoniosalieri was one of those who embraced the major Sci nerfs but now find himself wanting to quit STO as well, see his most recent thread here in the pvp forum. Others have noted that the OPvP membership dropped by more than 50% in a year and is now fairly quiet most the time. I say the current OPvP membership is still overstated. Many like me who left never bothered to unsubscribe so the list will still have my toons on it but it's just a ghost.

While the KDF could use a anti stealth console that actually works instead of just ionized gas sensor, I can't support giving up AA for this. The looting of the KDF for its shinnies needs to stop. All the FAW ships Feds use now clears spam for them pretty good anyway.
