Saw that coming...

knew the second they wanted to bank some cash Cryptic would re-release probably one of their most over powered ships. -.- Was kinda a fan of so few people having the JHAS, havent even logged in since the patch and I can see the spam of Dilith being traded for Zen and Doff packs being opened.

Seriously the JHAS is basically a BoP, with 10k+ more hull, a extra rear weap, and 5 tact consoloe slots -minus battle cloak (Can they even get base cloak? I know the dominion has cloak via canon but never bothered getting a Dom ship in game)

Oh well guess well be seeing a lot more in STFs now, I dont pvp in general on sto but Id guess theyll be getting spammed there too.

    They do these ships things 3-4 times a year. If you knew it was coming it's only because in the back of your mind you remember how long its been since the last time they did it.

    Plus there's been a bunch of talk about them on the forum over the last couple of months. People complaining about none of them being on the exchange because they're too expensive; and people demanding access to the pets for the dreads.

    It seems like the right time to get more into circulation; and maybe bring some of the prices down on the exchange.

    Hindsight tells me they're probably going to introduce a new DOFF pack soon and retire the Romulan Survivor pack.

    That's what they've done before, anyway.

    Wonder what theme they'll go with for the next set?

    Sounds like you have not been online in a while.

    While it is indeed a vicious little ship, it no longer commands awe and respect. Cannons have become 'passe' as the race to better dps has gone beam array, APB, FAW and cruisers.

    That, and a little Romulan number called the Scimitar

    In case you've missed it - dps is being clocked at 50K+ with averages being over 20K+.

    I dunno, if they were trying to generate significant cash, I think they would have put the possibility of getting one in something that cost a lot more than the doff pack.

    Seems to me a combination of two things...acknowledging that apparently many people want this ship, and that it was about time for another ship promotion. Why not combine the two, and make some folks happy.


    What is it...$3 for a Survivor of Romulus pack?

    In case you've missed it - dps is being clocked at 50K+ with averages being over 20K+.

    I recently did 14k DPS with a Gal-X using mk x green cannons and turrets on a new character - so not really impressive seeing 20k now from someone with all the bells and whistles unlocked, though I wouldn't expect a bug to be much higher with the limitations pure escorts have.

    So done with paying real money for a slim-to-none chance of getting something tangible out of this game.

    Say no to lotterized F2P games like this, too bad so many sheep dump so much money in to these companies pockets, making it more than worth their while to continue selling you a 'chance' to actually get something worth your money.

    My point was everything is 500 or less. So putting up for 500 is not some big surprise, as people have been selling them off the exchange for much more ecs.

    This isn't the first time they've done the JHAS promo for the Romulan Survivor Doff pack. Either they kept delaying the next doff pack, or there is no following doff pack.

    Bear in mind that while previous doff packs have been phased out on a regular basis, the Romulan Survivor Doff pack has been the only one since LoR launched.

    They need to hurry up and drop the next doff pack. Some of us have a bunch of cell ships from the last time they dropped the ridiculous-level-ship promo on us that we're waiting to sell at tuffli levels.

    Seriously, they have completely neutered the cell ship's seller value by now.

    Pretty sure Cryptic doesn't give a epohh's aft about the Exchange or the value of items being sold on it when it comes to their development decisions.

    That said, I would like a new doff pack instead of seeing every promo tied to the Romulan Survivor one.

    I would like to see the Gamma quadrant packs again. Evey Doff had the ever useful RESOLVE trait.
    The Jem bug was just a sweet bonus.

    Ship is pure awesome sauce.:D

    I have a full, and very nice roster on the one toon I would like the bugship for. I wish they would put it in something other than doff packs, its just a massive pain in the TRIBBLE faffing to make room in my roster for TRIBBLE I never really wanted for hours in the hope my wasted cash will somehow yield results on my next pack.

    JHAS is nothing like a BoP. If anything, it's almost identical to, ironally, the Tier 1 Fleet Patrol Escort (but with 1 console moved to Tact, of course).

    Well, it stands to reason that there'll probably be a new lock box when season 9 hits, and that they "might" do a new doff pack then.

    Yeah ... Wish all those dummies would wise up and stop giving PWE money, that'd teach PWE a lesson hey? Not like the sheep are paying for this F2P game or anything ... ... Oh wait ...

    Personally I think Cryptic (or PWE) are being reasonably nice, by giving away these things ... They don't actually Have to give away free outfits and free ships, or discounts on in game items, because, you know, people were buying them before, this will just add more to the economy, and from a future content point of view, more money in PWE's and Cryptic's pockets can't really be a bad thing ...

    Open them on another toon, the bug comes in a box that you can trade to the toon you want if you get it.

    I'm pretty sure they do care as they aren't stupid and they realize there's money to be made off a JHAS promo when there's not a single one of them on the exchange.

    Pretty much this. 99% of all promotions are planned weeks if not months in advance. It had nothing to do with them being off the exchange ;)
