I've just created my second character (Vulcan) and in the C-store I already have an unlocked Acid Horta and a Nukura Tribble.
I can claim the Horta and it's in my inventory right now however when I try to claim the Tribble the store says it is unavailable, is that because he is a Vulcan and in the TV show Spock couldn't see the point in Tribbles or is it because my other character already has the Tribble in her inventory? (she already has the Horta but that hasn't stopped my new character claiming a second one for himself)

The Nukara tribble can only be claimed by a level 50 (I think) character due to the fact Nukara marks are only acquirable at level 50, so anyone lower than that can't get Nukara marks for a zone they can't access. If your character is a recent creation, that might be why.

Hmm my first character started with it in her inventory right from when she was a cadet so I don't think it's related to rank unless it's a bug that she was given it.
Hopefully there's some resolution for the OP, since I've got my Nukara Tribble on my Vulcan Fed, and I've had it forever (well before lvl50). I pet it as often as I can and stockpile the Marks. One of these days I hope to collect the Nukara console simply from stroking that fuzzball!

Have you completed the tutorial on your new character? some items are restricted till you finish it
Ah that's probably it, I skipped the tutorial because I want to level this character up as slowly as possible and I've although I was planning to have a blast with him this weekend the double XP event put a stop to that before I even started because the very first thing you HAVE to do with a new character is speak to the Admiral at the Academy and he wants to give me 6000 XP and I can't see any way to avoid him

Skipping the tutorial doesn't set you back any levels at all. It immediately promotes you to the same level that you would have reached in the tutorial before it sets you out on missions.

1) You automatically get the tutorial XP if you skip the tutorial.
2) Either way, that's the derpiest complaint I've ever heard from anyone anywhere.
i think your having the problem because you havent spoken to the admiral post tutorial or skip either way, the nukarra and fleet tribble are both like that. the dill tribble you can use from the start same as most the the special non c-store ones like the winter, or triolic ones.
