Refracting tetryon cascade

Last week I finished nukara reputation and gain ability refracting tetryon cascade. The problem is, I don't know what is it's purpose. Itryed to use it in battle, but nothing happened. Do I need something to make it work? When I try to target enemy or frendly target and use ability, nothing happens. Need help!

    My experience with this is that range is key - trying flying into a group of enemies and fire it at close range. (According to stowiki, minimal range is 5K, but I've sometimes felt it might be closer to 3.)

    Refracting Tetryon Cascade will deal 4,000 Tetryon damage to your target, and will also jump to any additional enemies within 5km of your target. But it only works if you are within 3km of your target, so watch your range very closely. If you are outside of 3km, you cannot fire the Refracting Tetryon Cascade.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    More precisely, it will fire, but if you are outside of 3km, it will do nothing.

    In which case, you just wasted it, and you have to wait for a very long cooldown, and another enemy. :rolleyes:

    they should grey the ability (not be selectable) so you won't be able to waste it if you are 3 or more km away from an enemy
