Thanks for this as I want to recreate for my rommie, the annoying thing I find is glowing colour schemes for the gloves an uniform parts, its the colour pallet that's used on the miner belt, please change it cryptic so we can add glowing highlights like the dyson npc's.

I had fun doing these costumes :)

There will always be a bit of difference between what we do for NPC's and what is player available. For example, a specific Romulan chest piece might work with a specific federation jacket...but it doesn't work with all federation jackets. So we can use it for the NPC, but if we unlocked that for players we'd get bombarded with complaints that the costume is clipping more often than not (and in many cases it wouldn't be fixable). ...aaannnnd making a special category for that specific one-off combination would bloat and complicate the costume options undesirably.

As for "the annoying thing I find is glowing colour schemes for the gloves an uniform parts, its the colour pallet that's used on the miner belt,"...sorry can you rephrase the complaint and/or elaborate in more detail? I'm having a hard time discerning what the specific problems are.

I haven't noticed anything on the fed side, but perhaps the Rom or KDF variants aren't using the default color pallet. I did notice that the belt had some clipping issues.

One other thing I wanted to ask, is there any chance we could get the comm badges unlocked for Fed characters? Seems strange for them to tap their bare chest.

Otherwise, I love these uniforms. It goes brilliantly with my Dyson ship. It really sells the concept. :D

Well I didn't word it properly did I.... the gloves and certain parts of the dyson researcher jacket " glow " pink/purple, when I try to colour my dyson researcher jacket an gloves the same, there are no extremely bright or " glowing " colours available only the usual colour pallet for jackets and gloves.

    Thanks for providing these CrypticJJ!

I think what z3ndor99 is referring to is here:

I can't remember for Federation, but I know for sure that the "pink" colors are not available to KDF.

Edit: Confirmed - Feds don't have that pink either.

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

Gotcha. That's a good call (I think). I'll pitch that to the team and see if it makes sense to use that palette instead.

The Dyson Spire outfit is really good! But the is a big issue with the famale skirts, the belt clips like crazy. I dont have a screenshot at the moment but is easy to check.

Oh...side note, I just realized my poor phrasing with "I had fun making these costumes". Just to give credit where it's due, Jonathan Nascone is the artist that did such a fantastic job on creating the actual Dyson uniform assets.

I had fun using them to make the NPC's seen in the shots.

That would be awesome. The Dyson uniform looks so awesome, it would be amazing if we could get the shiny parts to look like the NPCs.

*Me*Why don't you just step away from the weapons console. You and I both know that you couldn't hit that cube, even if it was right in front of us.
*Junior Tactical Officer* But sir the cube IS right in front of us.
*Me* EXACTLY! Its right in front of us and you still missed it! Just step away from the console.

Thank you crypticJJ ( its an affectionate term ok ) for taking this up....made me smile, oh and lordhavelock presented my point beautifully ( thanks lord ), these are some of my favourite uniforms along with my rom/reman uniforms and the voth solider uniform ( that was awesome ). Oh and for anyone who doesn't know how to unlock the dyson researcher uniform, its available from the tier 3 spire tailor, once again thank you crypticjoejing ( and thank you lordhavelock ).

I wanted to chime in that I also wished that we had the option for the glowy colors in the palette. And I wish the bag that Cooper was carrying was available. It's basically the Romulan Republic medical bag, but that bag has a very limited palette and you can't replicate the color.
