Mail Icon Flashing Without New Mail

My mailbox is empty but the icon is perpetually flashing like there's something there. This happenes on all my alts and after I log out and back in again. I'm hoping I'm not the only one.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    I haven't had it happen for a while, but this originally happened sometime shortly after LoR launched due to the changes to the mail system at that time.

    The trick some have said to use, and has worked for me when I have this problem, is to send a message to yourself then delete the message.

    So for me I would compose mail and put in @monkeybone13 as the recipient, and just type a short message in the box like "I'm so awesome!" then click the send button. I get the mail right away then delete it and the icon on the mini map no longer flashes until I get some actual mail which is usually just exchange messages notifying me that I sold something.

    I have the same problem and more I can't send a email to my alts.I receive a message telling that the limit of send mails for that alt was reached and I can't send another mail.
    Some of these alts are quite new but it seems that the old mails from old chars is taken into account even if those said mails were send much before these alts were created........
    I can't use mail on old chars or exchange for some time now (like since Cryptic changed rules for mail ) and lately i can't send mail to new chars either
    What is good is that i still can use exchange on new chars
