Okay so I am a casual player. However wanting to be a bit more into the game I accepted a fleet invite offer.
Well I decided to help out with the various fleet projects.
I noticed something that said "Embassy Provisions". And that it could be made from the Replicator.
So I did.
What I didn't realize was the cost was in Fleet Credits.
And that depositing them rewards you with...nothing. Not even a single lifetime fleet credit for the 10,000 fleet credit you spent.
So why are they even there as a project? Unless it is a trap for "buyer beware"
I can say from a casual lifer's perspective, it leaves an extremely negative view of yet another 'hidden feature' of the game.
I should have realized that as with any other fleet project, if it isn't auto-filled the moment it is available, it's something that nobody wants to devote resources to and hopes some naive noob will instead.
Well you got me. Shame on you. Now..fool me twice...prepare for doom.
They COST fleet credits, so why would they reward them?
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
I think many of us have made this mistake, usually just the once.
It's a pain.
But the good news is that fleet credit is easy enough to rebuild and you'll read tooltips a bit more carefully from now on, I know I did after I blew a few thousand on provisions.
well, since heer are players which have LITERARY milions of FC, it is not problem for them to spend few tausends here.
In grwing fleets it is problem to find players which are willing to fill all progress bars to advance project, in t5 fleets it is problem to find unfilled project to spedn here any resource.

They shouldn't reward Fleet Credits, and the TC doesn't even seem to be suggesting they should. The suggestions (and it's a logical one) is that they should reward LIFETIME Fleet Credits. So it shouldn't give actual Fleet Credits to spend but it should up your spot on the leaderboards to denote your contribution to the Fleet (that is, after all, why the leaderboard exists).
yes, i got caught unaware with this one the first time.
at the end of the day they must be filled one way or another, luckely i dont realy use fleet credits all that much so i am not too bothered to donate them back into the fleet and it appears others in my fleet are happy to donate them also.
the good news is the dilithium mine ones arnt so bad as there is a npc at the mine that will give you doff missions that reward mine provisions, pity there isnt a similar one at the embassay also, or perhaps there is but ive just never found him.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
FC is one resource that doesn't need a sink - because FC itself is a sink for resources that do need sinks.
Lifetime Fleet Credits, Unrefined DIL, EC and Expertise...once everything (rep and BOff training) is finished, it seems like these currencies NEVER go away.

Not everything in life gives an immediate reward. Since they are a huge part of any project, and since I have 13 million FCs, I don't mind taking the hit. Your mileage may vary considerably. It's nothing to complain about.
You know now you mention it I will make a fleet mail regarding that as I am sure there are other players out there like yourself that are just getting into the fleet system that really want to hold on to their FC.
I get in my fleet there are members like that and I expect (in general) the higher ranking players with millions of FC,myself included to take care of those. If other players want to then awesome but I get that more casual players such as yourself OP might not be aware of that. I know when I was in my first fleet I did the same.
Thankyou for that post, took me a while to get to it but in my fleet at least it will make a difference.
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".
Made that mistake too, really oughtta be mentioned somewhere.
Also, to the Original Poster, be careful of that new "first set" of choices in the replicator that have appeared now - I generally stay away from those...
