Very lost on CritH & CritD with weapons/consoles

There is no getting around it, after reading numerous threads I still have no idea of the basics of figuring out what my characters base CritH and CritD skills are. At the moment, I've got it figured as -

CritH Base 2.5%

Romulan T2 Bonus 3%
Assimilated Module 0.92%
Zero Point Device 1.8%
Weapon Specilization 2%

CritH Total = 10.22%

CritD Base 50%

Dyson T2 Bonus 10%
Assimilated Module 9.2%
Weapon Specilization 25%

CritD Total = 94.2%

Final figures....

CritH 10.22%
CritD Total 94.2%

From here, I get lost in regard to what console bonuses and weapon mods do to the above stats. Equiping a weapon that has a +2 critical hit bonus on it doesn't increase my CritH from 10.22% to 12.22 does it?

I ask because it just seems too simple to boost up my numbers. For example, I want to get my CritD to around 160 - 170 and some people really struggle (who seem far better players) to achieve it when I'm just thinking, slap on a few fleet weapons that have 50% bonuses, you'd be there with nearly two items? Hell, you'd end up way over 170 with ease.

The only rationale explanation I can think of is something like a 50% bonus does not add to my basic stats at all (it'll stay at 94.2%) but is giving more chance for that 94.2% critD to activate? Like its a totally independent factor working behind the 94.2%?

Please someone explain this to me and not with reams of numbers and ratios. I just need to understand the game engine here, not dozens of calculations.

the bonusus appy when that weapon is fired

if ll your weapons hav critH x2 then add 2% crit chance to total

if all wepons have critD then add 20% to your critD
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

To elaborate slightly further, bonuses on a weapon only apply to that weapon.

So....the weapon bonuses cannot all be lumped together towards a final figure? Like if I have +20 CritH and +10 CritH on two separate weapons? I take the +20 and just that?

If I had six weapons that all had say 50 +CritD, it takes my CritD up from 94.2% to 144.2% (after one +50 bonus is added)?

Base stats that you see while in System space map are B
Your each weapon has it's own stats, we will call it W

So easiest way to explain is that each individual gun shoots with W+B, but not W+W+W+B (in case you have 3 front weapons).
If second would be real, we wouldn't get that much of boost on them, slightly OP for current defense equipment and skills.

    Understood.

Consoles that boost CritH and CritD would be considered under W and stack right?

Universal consoles boost every weapon and should be included in the figures under the "Attack" tab. Weapon modifiers apply only to the weapons they're on.

    Weapon 1: [CrtD]x2 [CrtH]
    Weapon 2: [CrtD] [CrtH]x2

Weapon 1 would get +40% crit severity and +2% crit chance, and weapon 2 would get +20% crit severity and +4% crit chance.

Starship Energy Weapon Specialization applies only to weapons, and Starship Projectile Weapon Specialization applies only to projectiles. Neither of these are included in the "Attack" tab figures. Because the "Attack" tab shows only one crit chance number and one crit severity number, it can include only those sources that apply to all weapons. But each of your weapons can have a different crit chance and different crit severity.

    actually no,

your consoles go under B (except if it say explicitly otherwise).

But your weapons are all ways W (except if it say explicitly otherwise).

or said even simpler, majority of weapons do not stack on you base stats, weapon stats simple adds your bonus on them.

    Example:

    So lets use your stats:
    CritH 10.22%
    CritD Total 94.2%

now if you buy weapon with
    CritH x2 = 4% and
    CritD = 10%

that weapon when firing would have CrtH 14.22% and CrtD 104.2%, as you add your base stat on the stat's of the weapon.

i hope it is clearer now, it is very simple, add your base stat. on the weapon stat., and you will get what that weapon do.

Now I see. So consoles go under B, not W.

So basically, if I apply a Fleet CritH console of +2 to my 10.22%, its gong to stay 12.22 until I remove the console. Right?

Yes, that's correct, except vulnerability locators grant 1.6% crit chance, not 2%.

Get some Romulan BoFFs with Superior Operative and your base crit chance can climb to over 20%. Welcome to the world of minmaxing, or, why power creep has broken this game.
