hirogen armor question...

wazzagiowwazzagiow Member Posts: 769 Arc User
I know the armor as an item is one per purchase.

quote from blog #43

'Purchasing the Hirogen Enhanced Battle Armor item will also grant the buyer a customizable Tailor Unlock, allowing players to display the Hirogen Armor visual style even if they choose to not wear the armor itself'

what I would like to know.... is the appearance an account unlock on the tailor? or is it unlocked only on the character that purchases the armor??

if the tailor options are per character, dose that unlock the options for that same characters boffs?

most likely per character like all the other lobi store uniform unlocks. and if its like the dyson armor or stf sets..... no you cannot put your bo's in the costume, but you can put them in the armor and it will show the visuals.

just seems like 1k lobi is crazy amount to make your self and 4 boffs look like a hirogen hunting party.

I have it. It is per character, and yes your BO's can use it in the tailor with the exception of the breen, reman, Jem'hadar etc who's appearance is locked.

does it come up as a new category like the rep armours or in the uniform category like the light voth box?

    Uniform slot.

Just to be clear. The both armour from the rep system has its own slot. The Voth light armour from the lobi store is also uniform and can be mixed and matched with the hirogen.

Is it just a top, bottom + boots all bulked out or lots of add-components?

    Head: Helmet

Top: Chest gear (available on tight chest only.) Shoulderpads on all uniform chests. Bracers. Gloves.

Bottom: Tight pants. Hip gear (tight only). Boots.

Has anyone tried buying this for a lower level character? I am tempted but when I go into the lobi store, even though it has the "infinity" symbol on it, it says in red "Vice Admiral", so I'm afraid to buy it.

Has anyone done so and equipped it on a lower level character successfully yet?

You can buy it and stick it in the bank as a lower level character, doing so will not effect the stats. But you can't use it until you reach level 50.

Thanks. It really shouldn't have that symbol on there then if it's a level 50 item.

If you buy it before level 50 it does still unlock in the tailor so you can use the outfit, just cant wear the actual armor till 50 which is fairly annoying.
