Ok I need help with account linking. ( Yes I understand this may not be the HELP section of the forums, but I didn't see another area of the forum where this type of "technical" problem fit. ) Either I?m doing something wrong or this process is seriously broken.
Ok I have my correct Cryptic UserName/Password. I can log in to the cryptic account and see my old retail and subscription history information for STO. I hit the link that says? To Link Your Cryptic account to your PW account blah blah blah.
It takes me here.

From here I put in my cryptic credentials and it prompts me to link to my PW account. Ok so far.
Now I have created a new PW account using the same email address as my old cryptic one. Over the course of trying to troubleshoot this I have also created a new PW account with a different email address.
I have no trouble logging into the PW website or the actual game using either the actual username for either account, or the email address for either account.
Back to the process...... I put in my cryptic information it informs me that the account is not linked to a PW account and asks if I would like to do so. I say yes, and it prompts me to input my PW information. Indicating I can use either my username or email address to log in.
Here is where the whole thing goes sideways. If I punch in the usernames attached to either PW account it claims they're not recognized. ( I understand there is a difference between the forum user name and the account user name. I tried both with the same effect. )
If I punch in the email addresses, nothing happens. You hit LINK and it just sits there. Every other attempt the browser activity indicator spins and that is it. After about 20 seconds or so the activity bar stops spinning and the site sits there as if I never hit the button.
And that?s it. That?s as far into the linking process I have managed to get.
I need help. Am I doing something wrong or is it broken and thus it?s time to just give up on STO.
I have put in a support ticket on this but it has just been days of automated responses saying they?re working on it, but no indication that they understand what problem I am having since they ask no follow up questions. After listening to the horror stories from other users who have been waiting more than a month with no response from support on this I am turning to you guys.
Obviously many of you managed to link your old account successfully. What am I missing?

First thing I did to give myself more time is to repeated hit the escape key to cancel the redirect action when the timer hit zero.

The interesting thing is the page is still fully functional. The problems I ran into is if I clicked a link the timer would pop up again before following. I had to right click and open in a new tab each time and repeat the removal process.
The place where this came in handy was copying my characters over to tribble. (Main reason I tried.)
