luncher crashes after i click engage

ok everyone, i got a problem as below

and steps taken
12 hours ago,, game was working fine.
then my graphics did a automatic update on me and restarted system.

so after restarted i tired launcher

logged in

waited for it to check patch and update if needed.

engage button showed.

and then crashed.
so i did another restart, did a quick scandisk. and also launcher version and file as it said the game crashed, and brought error reporting tool

is all ok.. but each time i do engage it crashes

i uninstalled my graphics drivers and put the old ones on from when i brought the drivers,
but game still crashing

Also note it says under my name i am a Champions Online User, i play Star Trek Online and have no idea how to change that lol

    I'm having the same issue. The game says fatal error: unable to initialize on demand patching and connect to patch server: the connection was idle for too long.

    Same problem here as well, the moment you click engage it tries to load than whammo crashes.

    exact same thing here. even after it verifies all the files it still does it.

    fatal error deconpressing data.

    I too am having the same problem...again! Every time the game patches this now happens. It is sooo frustrating!!!

    Update - I just deleted every file dated 20th Feb. in my computer's Star Trek file. This caused the launcher to download a 7300+ mb download that took an hour here in Toronto with Rogers Cable to patch. And what happened when it finished? Hit "Engage" and the launcher crashes again.

    ok all i have solved my problem
    uninstall STO completely, and if u have updated your drivers for graphics card, go back to the version when you first brought the graphics card. and then install STO from your disk if you have one, If not got the website and download from there,


    and its all working for me

    For me all I had to do was allow ARC to due the patching, along with the verifying of the game client files.

    Than I was able to shut down ARC, and manually launch the STO client without error.

    Just a quick question to the GM's, is this game going to function properly or not? I have been in this for over a week and have only been able to get into the actual game twice. For some reason you would like people to spend theirs, or their parents hard earned money on something that is broken. Maybe these questions should be going to the people that allowed you to use the "Star Trek" name on this ongoing rollercoaster. After 4 years these little bugs that are keeping us from just entering the game should be ancient history. I do NOT expect an answer from other gamers, I expect answers from the "powers that be" that are in charge. Maybe it is time to stop worrying about problems within the game and start at the BEGINNING. If it won't start, people won't play, if people won't play, then they will NOT pay. Business 101

    Had a similar problem which stopped after verifying my steam cache multiple times. It finally worked but has led to other issues.
