I'd be quite happy if my Gal-X didn't have the turn rate of a small planet, even with the best RCS accelerators I can get my hands on.

Of course it's never going to turn like an escort, but moving it currently feels like trying to flip a blue whale with a fish slice.

Aside from that, I'd echoes the calls for a Constellation-class w/Picard Maneuver console.

Doesn't matter, it's still a licensing issue with Bad Robot productions, so that would be a no.

Cryptic has the rights to any JJ stuff that also appeared in the Countdown comic i.e. Red Matter Capacitor, the Borg enhanced Warbirds (that look like the Nerada).

The ship we should have got from ARC rather than a costume.
Steam users got the Steamrunner Class, so ARC should have given us the last of the DS9 / FC era ships- The Norway Class (excluding the two Intrepid kitbashes).

    Norway Class Picket Cruiser Escort.

(It's the only thing I could think of with ARC in it's name).

Though I would like... well .

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I don't know if it counts, but the Dauntless Class used by the fake-U.S.S. Dauntless seen in Voyager.
That ship looks pretty epic. :)

Sadly I can't think of any other ships as most of them have already been added to the game, and I've not read enough of the TNG books (currently reading through the Post Nemesis books - just finished the Destiny Trilogy).

Out of the original designs, the Constellation seems like the most logical choice, given that it's gotten the most screen time of the yet-to-appear TNG-era Starfleet ships.

Aside from that, the novelverse's Merian class might be possible as it would fit the seconday deflector science vessel theme, and a design history akin to the Vesta in that there is a CBS-approved design even though it's from the novels. It would also likely help solve the issue with people asking for a T5 Miranda, as it was intended as a replacement for that.

I'd also like to see the New Orleans some time as a light cruiser, perhaps akin to the Cheyenne but with a bit more of an escort-y flavor. Also nice might be a version of the Venture skin to fit the Nebula.

Aside from all that, though, my favorite ship, the Steamrunner, is already in game and I love it!

I'd like to see a fleet dreadnought cruiser come out, but with either a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-4 console setting. Either make it last longer (shields) or make it hit harder (weapons).

Making it a 5-2-3 would just make my head spin with what to fill the engineering console with- a Fleet Neutronium Armor MK XII [+HullHP] or the console from the Advanced Heavy Cruiser for extra power levels to divert to weapons and shields.

Not something I want to think hard over.

I know it's not a true Starfleet ship, but the USS Dauntless also gets my vote.

Would be awesome if it was a science equivalent to the Risian Corvette.

lol dunno why all the hate on the galaxy. the saucer sep retrofit is a fine ship its dam near as tanky as a carrier with a escorts turn rate and speed with the saucer off it that takes pot shots at your target little extra dps. i ran that ship sense it came out and just recently got the avenger. granted fully integrated the things turns slow as dirt but some gear can help with that and just good timing of skills.

Isn't the reason for all complants that everyone LOVES the Galaxy...
It was a good ship long, long ago, before the dps thing got out of hand and before there were xx ships better at tanking and damage dealing at the same time, with much more universal boff layouts (Every lockbox Cruiser, The Oddy, the Fleet Attack Cruiser, the D'D for roms, ...)

But that's the wrong thread for this, so to contribute something useful i just call my usual answer on "do you wish"-threads. It's the Jupiter Class Fatnought ;)

Allright, i don't want to annoy you ppl with this ship, but i just had a radical idea how to implement it into STO.

What about making it a Science Cruiser?
Instead of a Heavy Escort Carrier like the Akira in STO, they could make it a science focused Cruiser.

    Tactical: Lt.
    Engineering: Cmdr.
    Science: Lt.Cmdr.
    Universal: Lt.; Ensign

    Consoles: 3, 3, 4

    Weapons 4/4
    Shield Mod: 1.35
    Hull: 39000
    Turn Rate: 10
    Devices: 4
    Crew: 850

    Bonus Power:
    +10 shield power
    +10 auxiliary power

    no DHCs

    Abilities:
    Subsystem Targeting
    Sensor Analysis
    Antimatter Overcharge*

    * Activating this, will make weapons do not drain weapon power, instead boosting weapon power with each firing cycle. This can be useful on this ship to fulfill its science or engineering role that has a lot of ship power in auxiliary, needing a quick damage boost. (similar to the Romulan Singularity Overcharge, but lasting longer)

You mean the ship that looks like it's **** is being run across the floor of the universe everywhere it goes?

    Nothing wrong with it.

Your ideas however for gimmick console? eh, when Cryptic turns "console powers" into "available to all ships of an appropriate faction for an account and there-by freeing up slots for useful items" maybe.

I want to see "Nebula/Miranda" versions of the Excelsior Class, Sovereign Class and the Odysee.

By that I mean that the Nebula and the Miranda basically look like the Galaxy or Constitution classes without an engineering hull and then some kind of roll bar with mission module. I think it would be a logical continuation of canon if this was also applied to other "Enterprises".

Going by the Nebula, these might be Science Cruisers with a strong engineering bend.

You could go even further and also apply this for the Constellation class - it looks like a Constitution saucer with 4 constitution nacelles. Applying that also for the Excelsior, Galaxy and Sovereign might be interseting.

How about the Kelvin from the Abrams movies? It could be some sort of intermediate level light cruiser-like ship.

    Oh don't get people started.

Sorry STO only has rights for the 6 TV series and the first 10 films.

Oh yes, that would be nice.

Also I would like to fit the ships like the originals, without losing a lot of efficiency. You know, beams and torps.
Yes I know you can do that right now, but it is a fluff build, nothing more. A Galaxy with Photon torps? Yeah, right.. after a saucer separation maybe, but that's not the point.

Two weapon types will always be more inefficient than a single weapon type. Pretty much the only way you'd get 3 DHCs+Torp to be better than 4 DHCs would be for the torp to have it's damage boosted considerably.

The Starfleet ships I want in STO would have to be the Achilles class from the game Star Trek DS9: Dominion Wars, as well as the Federation Yamato class battleship and Ulysses class Dreadnought from Star Trek Starfleet Command.

    The Soyuz

Or the Typhon from that playstation game. That was a nice looking ship.

And the scout fighter from Insurrection.

Seriously, we need more future shuttles, the one's we're flying around in now are like 40 years old.

Agreed. If we have the Scorpion fighter in game, we need more shuttles to fit the era. I love the throw back stuff, but technology and design should have surpassed what we have by now...

More Wolf 359 ships would be very welcome, especially the New Orleans and the Niagara.
C'mon Cryptic, the Typhoon Battleship is the most aggressive and badass looking ship in the entire Starfleet. How could it not be playable!?
And don't forget about the Jupiter and the Balaur and every other awesome NPC ship that absolutely deserves to be playable!
C'mon Cryptic, we know you can do it!

The "Nebula/Miranda" version of the Excelsior is the Centaur. The "Constellation" version of the Galaxy is the Cheyenne.

That said, most of those kitbash ships are boring. I'd like to see newer ships, like the Avenger.
