Unfortunately there is not much to do in this game for someone who is not crazy about story lines.
There is Ker'rat - massively bugged half the time since... the beginning?
There is regular roaming.
There are STF, which brings me to my point.
WHY in the love of god do I have to spam-click myself through walls of text filling my entire screen before, during AND after each friggin single STF?! Some of them even randomly popping up again during random times, even after you successfully spam-clicked them away.
And no, you can't turn it off in options, unless me and many other people got a bugged options menu.

Dear God, Yes.
Some kind of option to make the NPCs and Bridge Officers keep their mouths shut until -I- am ready for them would mean the world. I've been killed repeatedly because someone wants to stop and chat about the obvious while people are still shooting me. Or having a ship hail me at the worst possible moments. Or as a new player, getting stuck behind force fields or left behind in an STF because my first officer keeps yelling the obvious at me while everyone else simply runs to the next objective.
Let me get away from the exploding enemy and repair my shields for safety's sake before someone bogs me down with their life's story. I love the story, and the dialogue varies from cliche to impressive... but... ahg! I made my bridge crew after old friends from another MMO, and I have never wanted to punch my friends more. Seriously, please, let us talk on our own terms. It's the one thing actually ruining the game for me.
