I suggest replacing the photon torpedo launcher requirements for starbase projects with stackable items. It is quite annoying to stand next to a vendor clicking hundreds of times.
I completely agree, not only is it annoying to click it hundreds of times, but you have to buy a bunch, one at a time, until your inventory is full, then donate those, then do it all over again. Those responsible for this incredibly stupid decision should be sacked.
I'll agree with this, buying hundreds of MkI Photorps one at a time is a PITA. On my ROM char it's even more annoying since you can't fracking get the Photorp for it from Rom Command and I have to travel out to ESD, DS9, SB39, or K7 to get it. Given I'm mostly around New Romulus or the Sphere, all of those are abit out of the way to boot..... So on my Rom not only do I have to get annoyed, I have to travel out of my way to reach the annoying part in the first place.

Agreed. The travelling part was the final straw. If it had been a Romulan base, this would not have happened by design... I see this as another artifact of half-implementing features, like for example "fractions". And it continues to amaze by daily experiences like these.
an impressive one at that, 4 and a half years and the torps are the problem still, even when it hadnt launched and was only in beta then and starbases were a long time coming after that.

Not 4 and a half years... it's a year an a half. The "#4" is the post number in the thread.
Buying Photon Torpedos for Tactical Project isn't something to complain about. Especially when the Dilithum, Fleet Marks, and even some DOFF missions are far more annoying.

Fleet marks the only issue is there is too much of it. If there is one thing that isn't an issue it's getting fleet marks.
Dilithium, that is annoying, yes. People don't seem to want to part with dilithium much. It either needs to be valued higher for fleet projects, or have the reqs cut. Even in larger fleets it's rare. I find myself sparing a lot more dilithium to fleet projects (especially in the fleet I run on my Rom Fed toon), because many times I'd die of old age sitting around waiting for others to contribute decently too.
I would put the dilithium issue as higher than the photon one, though... mostly in that it effects more projects than the photon one does.

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
The most pertinent quote taken from this very thread, for the benefit of any instapost forum subculture addict:
This is a wake up call!
