I have been waiting for news on the Tellarite cruiser ever since the andorian Kumari ship was announced...been a while, where's my complete Enterprise era fleet?

I have been waiting on the Andorian Battlecruiser from ENT ever since they first mentioned it when the Vulcan ship was released.

They keep making references to it, but never releasing it. Come on guys, don't you want my money?

Seriously though, I wonder if maybe the Vulcan ship didn't sell well and that is why they have held off on finishing the other ships.

The founders of the federation pack was mentioned at one point though, so who knows?

You do know we have the Kumari-class now, right?

What are you talking about? The Andorian Battlecruiser has been released, under the name "Andorian Escort". The "Andorian Cruiser" has not made an appearance in-game, though; maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I am a fan of that time period - would be nice to have the option for Romulan War foundry series if we had more ships from that era...

It's been like a year since I've seen much mention about more of the founders of the Federation racial ships, besides the mentioning of the pack that hasn't come to be.

Me too. I love my Kumari bundle and I also love my D'kyr. :) Oh, guess what - my main Romulan ship is a T'Varo. :D
A Tellarite ship, but especially soemthing inspired by the NX would be a much wellcomed adition.

Also, I'm still waiting for you to redo the Klingon D5 into something, Cryptic. ;)

I'm waiting for Cryptic to come up with Lethean ships. Where are my Lethean ships?! Oh, and some KDF-design science vessels would be dandy as well, thank you.

Skuttlebutt says that it did sell at first, but power creep/ move to DPStown made it quickly irrelevant and not worth the cash.

Are they not essentially the same ship? Looks the same to me, those links to those pic are unclear.

I second everything in the OP, but OP should know that as far as cryptic is concerned, they gave us the Andorian ship when they gave us the Kumari. As much as I wish they'd pull a constellation-class and give us the retro-Kumari parts, I don't think it's gonna happen. I don't think we're even gonna give us that beautiful hull material.

I really like the tellarite ship model used in Enterprise, I'd love to see it in the game. Make it a cruiser, and give the feds Member race-ship options for each of the 3 classes.

I'm less optimistic for an Enterprise pack. The devs have pretty much sworn off making good interiors for any reason other than hooking new players, so the Belfast bridge with its missing account bank and inseperable Bridge/Interior layour will probably be the best we ever get, and even if it isn't, it's years down the road after we get past this godforsaken year of voyager, because the fanboys voted their beloved intrepid interior to the front of the line.

Ditto for any Enterprise-era shuttle we would get. I think we already have denobulan doffs. The MACO sniper is already in game, just ugly-fied, and those MACO uniforms have been on tribble for a year and obviously are frozen in development limbo.

Enterprise as a series has some of the coolest, most promising things to offer to STO as a game, but too many people hate it because it was made in the 21st century. And don't be fooled, it's no worse than the paradigm-shattering woman captain who got lost in her pilot episode, or this guy, it's just the new kid on the block, and that's why it's so unpopular.

Nah, actually it's the new Trek movies in the alternate universe that are the REAL new kids on the block and getting the hate, Ent is surprisingly well liked from what i've seen.

I'm one of those rare fans that liked all the Trek's, from Ent and Voy, to TNG and DS9, even all the movies, from ST V to JJ Trek...they all felt like trek to me, no matter how ludicrous they might be, cause face it...ST is not reality, it's sci-fi with a dash of fantasy thrown in, it's SUPPOSED to be ludicrous

I agree there is a lot Enterprise has to offer, from ships, alien species as playable or doffs/boffs, storyline, etc.

hell the xindi and the sphere builders alone, not to mention the possibility of time travel to the romulan war, could add a lot of story to this game (after all the sphere builders are still a threat)

I think that's par for the course for Star Trek. Every new movie that comes out is blasted by Star Trek fans.

"TMP wasn't real Star Trek. It was absolutely nothing like TOS!"

"TWoK wasn't real Star Trek! How could they kill off Spock!? And Khan was a villain after making his peace with Kirk in Space Seed!?"

"TSfS wasn't real Star Trek! How could they blow up the Enterprise? The franchise is ruined forever!"

"TVH wasn't real Star Trek! I mean come on... going back in time to save whales!? On a Bird of Prey!? That movie made a mockery of Star Trek."

"TFF wasn't real Star Trek! ... because it was Star Trek V. 'Nuff said. :D "

"TUC wasn't real Star Trek! The Klingons were always the Federation's enemies in TOS! That's not the same Star Trek I grew up with!"

"Generations wasn't real Star Trek! You can't just kill of Kirk like a punk and destroy the Enterprise-D!"

"First Contact wasn't real Star Trek! The Borg don't have a leader! And Zefram Cochrane didn't look anything like he did in TOS!"

"Insurrection wasn't real Star Trek! It was way too short to be a movie and Worf and Data were just there for comedic effect!"

"Nemesis wasn't real Star Trek! You had a stupid clone plot when it was supposed to be 'the' Romulan villain movie!"

So on, and so forth. I'm willing to bank on the next 10-20 years (and a few Star Trek films and/or TV shows/webisodes/whatever) that people will get over their nerd rage over the JJ Abrams Trek films and start hating on whatever the newest Trek media is.

You can only cry wolf so many times before people stop taking you seriously, and "Real Star Trek" fans have been crying wolf since 1979. I'm like you in that I like Star Trek in its entirety, even the poison pill that was Enterprise (although it's a tough pill to swallow).

But I make my peace with it by recognizing that all of the TV shows and movies were bad. Once I recognize every single series and movie was flawed in some big way (and the flaws were usually different), I admire and appreciate Star Trek for what it is. An ever-evolving franchise with a fanbase who shows their love for it by forming angry mobs with pitchforks and torches whenever the newest shiny movie or TV show is out.

This was my thinking as well.

The ship doesn't seem to compare favorably to other available ships, especially not when you are asking for 2K Zen.

I'm not a science guy, so I may be missiing something, but just ho wI see it.

I do wonder, though, why after following kestrellius' link and looking around a little they referenced a D'Kyr type combat cruiser, but this is a science ship.

As far as Tellarite ships go, I can't say that I would buy one, but it does seem like an obvious choice for expansion.

Vulcans have drastically changed in the time between "Enterprise" and TOS.
In TNG there's even an episode where a Ferengi weapons merchant explicitly states he does not trade in Vulcan ships because they're pacificsts and he only deals in warships.
So most likely the Vulcans kept the design around but altered it into a scientific platform.
